Olive Grove Delicatessen — Restaurant in Victoria

Today we visited Olive Grove for the second time after awhile and ordered the roast chicken and Avocado toasted sandwich with was fresh and lovely and Greek Avocado Smash which was interestingly delicious with balsamic vinegar sprinkled on it and the bread was heavenly. Cappuccino and latte were nice but the Lemon muffin was just ok, it tasted like a scone and in desperate need of some cream or jam to improve the taste 😄 Please note that they don’t take orders at the table, you order, pay then go wait at your table for the server to bring your food and drinks. Bathroom was clean and in good order. —————— My review from last time: had the Lasagna which was very good and tasted homemade and lovely, My aunt had the fish and chips and she was pleased with it. Have been here before when visiting Ballarat and loved it! Has it changed hands though? The meal today was very ordinary. I had the vegetable frittata - which was obviously microwaved and tasted like rubber - as microwaved eggs always do! My husband had lasagne which he liked. The side salad was a stingy portion of leaves, couple of olives, a few tiny cubes of feta and some thin capsicum slices. Bland dressing if any. The portion sizes were also off with a nice portion of lasagne, however the frittata was half the size. It was our wedding anniversary so did want to complain to my husband about the meal but it was virtually inedible. Very disappointed ☹️ this time!...
