Fantastic affordable Chinese restaurant. It wasn't real busy so the chef cooked off menu for us which was wonderful. Really appreciate the staff being so friendly while I was waiting for my friend to arrive. There's this whole history of the Cantonese in Australia that no one talks about much but these folks were here very early on in the colonial era. When you're in country towns you often find a Chinese restaurant and some of these places go back four or five generations. If you've already had pastry in South Bank or Beechworth, or pies in Whittlesea there's little point repeating the exercise. IMHO if you want something authentically country Australian and you're not able to forage for bush tucker with local Mob, hit the Chinese place. This one...

I am really sorry, but the truth must be told? The rice is like boiled (and still not cooked enough) I have tried about 5 times now.. Getting worse. The fillings are appalling. Allot of shredded carrot, a couple of Peas, and a minute amount of carramilsed onion. No egg, or other addition. Except for massive amounts of pepper!ythe 'specia l' rice includes huge chunky bits of undercooked ham which I have to discard. So sorry. Guys - but I used to Love the rice. Just to add insult to injury... The 'crispy' noodles are undercooked also, so they are soggy and raw. To anyone who wants to tell me off? No.. I am a useless cook. But I want to enjoy what I do pay for. And... I am not alone in my review. I want them to take notice to survive. We...

Went into restaurant to collect our takeaway last week. There were two or three tables occupied with people having dinner. Sat down to wait. One of the tables had a baby in high chair occupied with a phone. Then one of the workers took her out and placed her in her cot which was placed in a spot right next to cashier counter in plain sight of everybody. This worker then proceeded to change the baby's nappy. Next thing she is taking meals out to people. I would think that this would be very unsatisfactory in the eyes if the health department! When I and another customer fronted this worker (mother) she didn't realise it could be a problem. How can you say much for cleanliness! Disgusting. I will not be eating there...

The day we were in town, there weren't many options open for dinner. So we tried this restaurant. It was ok, but I probably wouldn't go back in a hurry. We found the food lacked seasoning and was a bit plain. A bowl of rice was very expensive when we compared it to Melbourne restaurant. It was actually expensive all around. The locals seem to like it as it was fairly consistent with takeaway. Maybe we are just use to Melbourne restaurants.

I ordered a few dishes from this restaurant last night for dinner. The food was a bit bland and didn't have a great deal of flavour. The lemongrass chicken and fried rice were way overpriced for what you got. The spring rolls were tasty however.
