Had a big family dinner for my birthday just recently. Ordered the scotch fillet steak, everyone that came loved the food.
Only down side is the kids playroom. It's a really great idea and I have four kids of my own ranging from 10 to 2 years old.
Regardless of the rules placed on the playroom, we felt alot of kids were not supervised , especially the older kids that do go in and know alot better. There were several older kids on the jumping castle that were leaning to the side which made the jumping castle lean left or ride and where the younger kids were trying to climb up and slide down.
There were others that were just sitting at the top of the slide laughing and not letting kids go down.
We did tell one of the workers who did come and tell one child off but it continued on with others where I had to approach a bunch of boys that were roughly older than 11 thinking it was funny to squash the younger kids trying to go up the jumping castle to use the slide.
That jumping castle needs to go. I'm all for parents letting their kids go and play and enjoy themselves but they also need to monitor and be safe. That jumping castle is a accident waiting to happen.
If they don't get rid of it have a staff member monitor the playroom so it's safe and kids are...

Read moreIt was my families first time dining at the Drouin Family Hotel. I struggle to find a decent place to eat as I am currently required to eat dairy free for my dairy intolerant breastfed daughter. The Drouin Family Hotel was very easily accomodating to my dietary needs. I asked if I was able to get the Parma with vegan cheese rather than normal as I am dairy free. Shannon asked me what the reason around being dairy free was, I explained my situation and she went that step bit further to let me know the crumbs also had milk but she could see if the kitchen was happy to make me a fresh chicken breast crumbless for my dish. She also made sure the veggies were not cooked with butter. The service that Shannon provided was great and she actually saved me from having a horrible night with my daughter as I would not have known the crumbing had dairy in it. My experience was absolutely fantastic, food was great and we will definitely be dining there again...
