I think if you don't fit the mould here, you're not deemed worthy of service, which is a real bloody bummer because the coffee is fantastic.
4 times we have been - and we've had the same cruddy service. We're either ignored for ages ( first time we didn't even think it was table service since no one had even acknowledged us ) or your just left to sit with a table of dishes when you're done, no one asks if it was good or you'd like another coffee, you go to pay and your barely acknowledged as you tap your card... its unwelcoming really.

The reasons I'm giving 3 stars: 1. The food did not taste great, eggs were overcooked and poached eggs did not ooze at all. 2. The way the food is prepared is not hygienic, the lady preparing the food was handling it with bare hands while touching he face and nose. 3. Read moreStopped in to buy Fika beans so I didn't have to drive to Grand Marais. Got the pound I came for as well as picking up something I hadn't tried yet. Got a drip for the ride back to the mountain. Both bags of beans were fresh. Later after brewing them up they had some very nice notes. Worth the effort to stop by.
