Service was good, staff were friendly. It's an odd layout for a cafe, a little quirky but not bad. The atmosphere would have been better if we hadn't chosen the table closest to the toilet, which I did to make it easier for my elderly mother to go to the toilet and not have to walk far (it was the first empty table at the front of the room). It seemed like a convenient spot, until someone came out of the gents and brought the smell with them 🤢😅 Mum bought a cold drink and I got a chai, we got the hummingbird cake to share. Was told pies made on site...mine was heated in a microwave yet cold on bottom..yuk!, not fresh made and crisp as I'd hoped, but saggy pastry from microwave heating. It was replaced by yet another microwaved pie . Everything here sounded like it was being microwaved... a real let down for this business. Wasn't busy but really slow service. Cost me $19...worth it?...no, not this time. Pies should be fresh and crispy if made on site, not like mine with soggy pastries on...
