We 'stumbled' upon this charming Japanese restaurant on Saturday night. We only had to wait for 4-5 minutes for a table - which ended up being in the small group room. We were hesitant to agree to this table, as the 3 of us would be seated on one side of the table & another small group were on the opposite side of the table. We did find it a little difficult to talk to each other, but we 'worked around it and it wasn't an issue. In the end, we were stoked with where we sat, because, upon ordering a dish, and it being prepared, it would arrive on a conveyor-belt, directly from the kitchen. It was so much fun - a real 'trip'! Ordering food was easy, as each table had their own touch-screen. As a customer, all we had to do, was scroll through the Menu, and when we found an item of interest, all we had to do was to tap on that item to see a photo & description. It we choose to order that particular item, you'd just tap the 'order' button, otherwise you'd tap the 'back' button & it'd take you back to the Menu. (You can order as many, or as few, items as you'd like. You don't have to order all of your selections at once, you just order them at your pace.) Items ordered arrived quickly from the kitchen. We loved all our choices - my favourite was the smoked salmon & rice. (I could have ordered a second one, but wanted to try some other different dishes as well. My partner's favourite was the a Miso soup - he liked it so much so that he started with a bowl and ended with a bowl.) The total of our meal, for all 3 of us, was under $45!! Lastly, but not of any less importance, is that the service we received was top-notch! All staff were friendly and helpful! Nothing was too much trouble!! We will definitely be back!!

Been here a couple times, always wanting to come back!! Order with a tablet at the table (pictures of all dishes included on the tablet!!), then the food comes out on a little cart, straight to the table. Volcano Rolls: easily my favourite item here!! you get four pieces of salmon and cucumber sushi, with generous portions of salmon inside. topped with a delicious sauce and crispy pieces (which I assume are rice) Aburi Salmon Roll: delicious roll with a piece of grilled salmon on top. quite a mild flavour, but delicious nevertheless Pork Croquettes: very lovely crispy exterior! the pork texture inside was slightly odd, but it was very delicious nevertheless. topped with a very yummy sauce, just wished there was more of it. Japanese Fried Chicken: nice crispy exterior, and the chicken inside was very moist! very well seasoned, and the sauce goes very nicely. only thing was the sauce dish was very tall, but not very full, made dipping into the sauce very difficult. Overall definitely one of my favourite places to visit! absolutely keep coming back for the Volcano Rolls, one of my favourite foods!

Tried this place out for the first time out of curiosity, it was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The general ambience was comfortable and relaxed. I love the idea of seeing and ordering your items on a wall mounted iPad. Menu has a good variety of sushi items, a handful using meat instead of fish if you're not into fish. You can also see the items you have ordered and keep an eye on your bill as you order, as well as call for assistance if need be. They also have Gluten Free and Vegetarian items on the menu. This place has a trendy Melbourne feeling which is nice if you want to go somewhere a bit 'hip' and experience something different. It wasn't busy when I dined there but they didn't open until 11:30. Overall I enjoyed this experience and would happily go again. I ordered four 'small' items with a coke but was quite content at the end. I was leaving feeling hungry 👌
