We have eaten at many Indian restaurants including overseas and well known restaurants and this experience at lakeside Indian restaurant did not disappoint. You can tell that there is a lot of love that goes into this business and cuisine. Each course was just as good as the first, the food had so much flavour, the flavours were phenomenal, light and not at all heavy or greasy, meat dishes tender and delicious, plenty of variety, beef, chicken, lamb, seafood and there is enough good vegetarian options, each dish was literally 'melt in the mouth.’ Portion sizes were perfect, the smaller portions allow you to try more dishes from the impressively varied menu. Delivery of food timely, the food is brought out as it’s cooked (we ate in the restaurant) we felt so welcomed and relaxed. Nothing like food poisoning on your holiday. I can’t believe just how incredibly disappointed my husband and I were with this place. How on earth they got so many good reviews is beyond me. We ordered the butter chicken, vegetable jalfrezi, saffron rice and garlic naan. The butter chicken was absolutely tasteless and had practically no chicken in it just 3/4 sauce in the container. The vegetables were the same - non existent and swimming in bland liquid - but what was there honestly looked like it had come from a frozen packet! The saffron rice wasn’t cooked in saffron at all just yellow food dye, and then instead of a nice garlic paste on the naan it was sprinkled with dried garlic flakes and may as well not been there. Amazing authentic Indian! The amazing aroma, when you first walk through the door, is a little sample of the STUNNING feast you're about to have! Firstly, the service was amazing. Prompt, polite, and efficient. The entree we had was the best I've ever had. Aloo Tika Chaat. Perfect blend of all of the flavours, with pops of freshness. I had to try the Butter Chicken. Amongst the best I've ever had, but the Garlic Naan was definitely the best I've ever had. Light and crunchy. Couldn't have been better. The show stoppers were the deserts.
