Thyme for Coffee — Restaurant in Victoria

I am very disappointed in this business for their service, their food and their wait time. We got to the cafe at 9:40am, ordered our food at 9:50 and did not receive our food until 11am. The girl who served us did the right thing by telling us there was a 25 minute wait, however it ended up being over an hour which was ridiculous. Other tables were asking for refunds also because of the wait time. Even when the food was coming out to tables one person would get their meal and then the next person wouldn’t get their food for another ten minutes. The kitchen is very small and there was only one chef, you do not have the facilities or staff to have a menu that big, it is asking too much of your chef. The young girl was doing such a great job for the circumstances, and the male with tattoos that works there and was on the coffee machine, he was rude and talking so rudely to the young girl, it was horrible and disgusting to see how he was treating his fellow employees. The older lady also left the store after we had been waiting for 40 minutes to go to the supermarket to get more supplies, again, if you can not handle the amount of people you are serving then you simply can just stop. Would not recommend this cafe. Not sure if they were having a bad day but in the end the lack of care for the patrons and rude staff did not make it a good experience at all. We visited for brunch after a recommendation from the local parkrun which we had just done. We waited over a hour for our food while everyone else on our table had eaten and other tables that arrived after us were also served their food ahead of us. When a friend who had already had her breakfast checked on the meals for us she was brushed off rudely with no real induction on wait time. Because we were visiting the area we then had to leave to get to our next destination. We spoke with the person taking orders at the counter and were basically told somehow this was our problem and somehow our fault that we had to wait and that they would not refund our money but we could wait over the side while he continued to serve other customers while having an argument back and forth with the server/cook. Then saying he could put the food in take away containers. Not a great option for what we ordered. So all in all a VERY EXPENSIVE cup of coffee for us in the end. Such an amazing place! 5 star whether you drop by for take away or dine in. The coffee is the best and the home made food is wonderful. I called from Perth to ask to leave a credit for my father to celebrate his birthday ( a longtime local in his 80's). Not only was it no problem at all but he was presented with a card in an envelope, chocolate and a balloon tied to the envelope- so incredibly special!
