After being told it was a 45 minute wait we arrived to pick up the order to find it already sitting in the warmer. Then they said the burger had not been made and it would be a few minutes. Duly paid and waited and waited. 25 minutes later the burger was finally ready so the rest of the order had been in the warmer for over 30 minutes. My word that’s the worst most over priced garbage I’ve ever received at a fish and chip shop. Change your oil and batter for a start it’s old and the batter was so hard you could chip a tooth. The fish was dry and not fresh in any way. The only good thing was the minimum of chips in the meal. They were crunchy and well salted. We went there only because they are the only fish n chip takeaway in town. We always hesitate to go as we have never had one good experience with their food. Probably tried them 2-3 times in the past few years, but they have never improved.... The batter was tough as leather and so thick and heavy, with a taste of old oil. The doughy batter was absorbing all the oil which I needed to peel off the batter to be able to eat my fish. Please Yarrawonga needs a better fish n chips takeaway...
