IF YOU'RE DISABLED OR ELDERLY WITH MOBILITY AIDS, DO NOT STOP IN AT THIS McDONALD'S. Myself (spinal injury, using crutches to walk) and my elderly father (cardiac issues, and also needs to use a cane when walking) stopped in here around 8pm on a Wednesday to take a break from a long drive. Bathrooms were locked and it took a significant amount of time to get staff attention to unlock the doors despite not being busy at the time. When I entered the disabled bathroom I started sliding on the floor despite wearing Converse sneakers known for being grippy. My crutches were sliding across the floor. Trying to stand up again while sliding caused aggravation to my spinal injury because I slipped, hitting my back on the toilet before landing on the hard floor. Trying to get up off a slippery floor with a spinal injury is not an easy task. When I got up and managed to get to the sink to wash my hands, the soap dispenser was removed and the dryer not working. My shoes and crutches remained slippery for quite a while. We told staff about the issue and they walked off as we tried to suggest someone cleaning the floors so they're not a death trap, and totally ignored very obvious "um, excuse me" from both of us fairly loudly. They absolutely did not care, didn't want to fix the problem, and I'd hate to think how they handle someone ending up more hurt than I did.
Along with the atrocious service and unsafe amenities, part of our order was wrong (still ignoring us two disabled people asking for assistance), and what we did get was more grease than food, with both of us having very bad tummy cramping for a day after.
Really disappointing. Save yourself the headache, tummy ache, and actual injury; go to Wendouree instead if you're on the Melbourne to Adelaide/Adelaide to...
Read moreHonestly this Maccas is the worst in Australia. Every order has something wrong with it, EVERY time we go here. Tonight was an epic fail. The first order taker in drive through was apparently new and didn’t save the order, so when we get to the first window, we have to repeat the entire (fairly complicated order) to someone else. That’s ok, these things happen. At the second window (about 5 mins later as they were repeating all the orders ahead of us) there is a bag of food waiting. Another 3 minutes pass while they run around trying to work out which order we are. Eventually they decide the bag that has been waiting near the window (Getting cold on a Ballarat night of 6 degrees) is ours. So they give it to us - and it is mostly cold. I then ask for at least some hot chips - they direct us to the waiting bay. We wait for 10 minutes for chips. They come out with just these - meanwhile the order of burgers and nuggets in the car are now stone cold. No apology or offer of replacing the rest of the food that is cold. We get home (6 mins away) and the burgers (which are supposed to be no sauce or onions due to allergies) are wrong and have sauce, onions and mustard. Tried calling repeatedly to advise them of their incompetence but surprise surprise, no answer. This is a joke of a store.
UPDATE - eventually got through to the store and spoke to the manager. Retold the story as above and got an ‘I’m sorry’ and then silence. No offer of any sort of credit or compensation next visit, no explanation or attempt to justify...
Read moreabsolute disgrace of a store. from start to finish. Noone working there actually wanted to work, noone look interested. noone served us for over 10mins standing at the counter, we had to call a staff me to ask them to serve us. Then we requested the food to be eat in and delivered to the table, we were given a table number. after 15min still no food and the store wasnt busy. we went to check on where the food was, and there it was bagged and sitting on the counter, who knows how long for. still we took the food and when we got back to the table with the kids the chips were half empty, wrong sizes and they also gave us water when we ordered soda water, we kept all the food and drinks and only went back to the counter to have the chips filled up. again noone wanted to serve me, i waited a few minutes and everybody working kept going about their talking and lack of working. i then asked if anyone wanted to actually do their job and serve me, finally i had the chips replaced, while the manager just walked off. So Milo, if that is the manager that was on duty around 1.30pm on 3.2.24 then you need to go back to basics of customer service and how to actually be a manager and not leaving to the 14/15 year olds you hired. take responsability as you beng the manager should but i think you need to career change. What a disgusting attitude to have and show young kids working that...
