Disappointing Experience - Left Stranded on a Special Day

I pre-ordered a large meal from McIvor Rd Fish and Chip Shop through their website for my daughter’s birthday party. I placed the order in the morning to give them enough time to prepare the big order, received a confirmation email, and I arrived 15 minutes before the party was due to start—only to find the shop closed with a sign on the door saying they were shut until next week.

I understand that unforeseen issues can happen in any business, but failing to notify customers with confirmed orders is unacceptable... A quick email or phone call would have saved us from scrambling after the party had started to reorganise food on what was meant to be a special day. This oversight caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

I hope the business improves its communication process to prevent this from happening to others...

They were very busy, given it was Good Friday and so expected a wait which was fine. However they were totally disorganised. Ordering for the family, our order was in 2 parts. The first part we got in 20 mins. The 2nd 35 mins later. Needless to say the first was cool and soggy. Ordered a chicken schnitzel burger in each lot - the first got a hamburger instead. The second asked for no tomato or mayo - you guessed it, came with both!. Orders were flung everywhere- some clipped on the fridge, others on the ledge, floor, even in the fridge and all messed up. Need to have a process or don't open on such a busy day. Lots of people were complaining about waits, missed orders or...

I don't know what's happened to this place whether there is new owners or what but this is the second time we have had an absolute awful meal! We thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt as it's our local but then they forgot our flake we paid for, there was no salt on our food, the scallops were crumbed and burnt instead of battered and left a foul taste, the potato cakes were overcooked and our steamed dim sims were mushy and had the texture of mashed potato. I have no idea how you can mess up fish and chips so bad. Absolutely disgusting and charged 33 dollars for stuff all food. Then when we tried to call them our calls were rejected and they...
