We had our post wedding celebration here and we were not disappointed. Fantastic venue! The beer garden is a great size and so comfortable with large amounts of people and being able to move around freely. They were flexible and accommodating with any needs. There are catering options or you could bring in your own. We opted for their platters which had plenty of variety and delicious! The 'kids shed' out in the beer garden was a major hit. We loved that this space was so accommodating for kids as we had friends travelling from here there and everywhere so having the option to bring the kids certainly made it easier for them as well as with our own daughter. The private bar out the back in the beer garden was also fantastic. The undercover area has a pool table, couches and a tv. The staff were professional but also lively and engaging. We have also previously had lunch and casual drinks here so I can also vouch for their regular menu. I would not hesitate to recommend The McIvor to anyone looking for a nice place to go for a meal or...

We also ordered our-post bike ride high protein meals - of huge 300g (?) steaks. The steaks (we ordered medium rare) were very much well done and we shared that with the manager who was humble and indicated he'd pass that feedback on to the kitchen.
The over cooked steaks didn't bother us because not only were the drinks refreshing, the service and atmosphere outstanding and the staff both friendly and welcoming. Recommend this pub to anyone in Bendigo or...

I ordered a chicken parmigiana with fries and veggies and it was exquisite. The vegies were par boiled to el dente and tossed in a herb butter. The chicken was hand crumbed in panko, cooked to perfection, topped with sauce , ham and cheese. The crunch of the panko stayed crunchy all through the meal. BEST THING... Was the chef placed the fries to the side so they too stayed crunchy instead of this new way of putting the fries underneath, making them soggy All the best guys , I'm sure you'll make a success of it. Hope to come back in winter when you have the 4...
