Tame Cafe — Restaurant in Victoria

The wait was average at around 40mins, but the food was way below average. I ordered the Thai chilli scrambled eggs, the eggs were amazing and so was the jam, but I received only 1 small and very soggy piece of bacon. I order a ham and cheese toasty that never arrived and had to request a refund because all she said was sorry and walked away. My wife order the “Tame breaky” with well cooked eggs and received half cooked runny eggs, soggy bacon and weirdly cooked mushrooms that were funkier than you nann’s 2 week old nickers! Drinks: Both cold and hot drinks were well above average and were of good quality. Coffee, mocha, and hot chocolates were great. The chai latte however was very sweet. Most likely too much syrup added.

Food: I have been here twice now and the food has been of consistent quality. The Halloumi Burger is delicious. I tried the gluten free bread which is also quite nice.

Service: Service was average. Thankfully there were experienced staff helping the new staff who were slow to process orders.

Appeal: Good Cafe right in the heart of town. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Super disappointed with our experience at this cafe this morning.

The meals were very Average my sons toasted sandwich didn’t even arrive to the table by the time we had eaten our breakfast.

Unfortunately we won’t be back.

*Yes the toasted sandwich was refunded. But we had waited 30 minutes for a ham and cheese toasted sandwich. Which yes at even a busy time would take no more than 5 minutes (Considering they are also pre made in the display fridge) Fact is it was forgotten!
