The Last Hoot - Cafe, Bar & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Victoria

Took our holidaying brazilian family to Falls Creek today. Thought we’d get some lunch at this lovely well positioned eatery so they could watch the skiers. I can’t tell you how embarrassed we were with the waitress who went out of her way to be so god damn rude. She snapped at us for changing our mind as to where we were going to sit, and she made the effort to then follow us over to where we were getting ready to sit down - just to roll her eyes and huff. I asked her if there was an issue and she commented “well you all seem to do whatever the hell you want”. I was shocked and asked her to repeat herself. I explained we hadn’t been here before. This did not change her behaviour - she rolled her eyes and continued her rude behaviour. I was under the impression we were there for a holiday, but none the less, this young rude woman made it all about her. Needless to say we reported her behaviour, but it was so tasteless, we left. My partner and I dined at The Last Hoot in Falls Creek last night and were absolutely delighted with our experience. As vegans, we sometimes struggle to find suitable options, especially in a small town, but The Last Hoot exceeded our expectations in every way.

The young man serving us, who seemed to be the only waiter, was highly professional, patient, and kind. He went out of his way to accommodate our dietary needs, transforming typically non-vegan menu items into two delicious, generously portioned meals.

The roasted vegetable pizza, made with handmade dough (that we saw the chef rolling out), was the best we’ve ever had. The authenticity and care put into each dish were evident.

Both the waiter and the chef, working seemingly on their own, displayed an incredible level of professionalism and emotional intelligence. We couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. Highly...

I arrived at 4 and tried to order food. One of your staff told me that the kitchen opens at 5:30, so I ordered a drink and waited at one available table. At 5:10, the staff came over and told me that our table was reserved(with no signs on my table) which is absolutely unprofessional and unfair for taking reservations for others and pushing us away. Part 2, we accepted it and agreed to change table, and asked if we can move one of tables so my friends can seat together then guess what l, two kitchen staff ran out from the kitchen and yelled:"I don't like your attitude. You can just leave." Tell me who is having attitude in deed? The most worst part was that when my friends was asking what’s happening the kitchen staff said, "The door is over there.
