Zambrero Wangaratta — Restaurant in Victoria

Popped in for a quick lunch & ordered 2 bowls & told the guy serving 3 times that I only wanted beans in 1 of them & he still put them in both🤦‍♀️ He started to pick the beans out of my black rice with his gloved hand & the girl on register asked me if I'd like to start fresh which I said I would prefer him to if that was ok. He then rolled his eyes & his demeanour changed completely. It was quite clear he was annoyed that I preferred a fresh meal & I almost told him if it was that much of a problem to forget my whole order all together!! He was very snappy & rudely asked me what other ingredients I wanted adding them to our bowls with his hands which I found a little off putting as all the ingredients had serving devices in them & couldn't understand why he was using his hands to serve with instead, constantly touching benches & containers etc with them & not changing gloves before putting them in the food tubs!! We left the store pretty disgusted & unfortunately due to his attitude did not enjoy our meals at all!! Very disappointed as we love...

We ordered two burritos at 6:30pm. The delivery time on menulog stated 15-20 minutes. Once we ordered we were told it would arrive at 7:50-8:10pm. Yes, that is a long wait but we had already ordered. We called the restaurant at 8:10pm as the delivery still hadn't arrived and were told it was on its way. 10 minutes later we got a text saying it would not come until 8:55pm which is 2 and a half hours. We understand they are busy, an hour is reasonable but 2 and a half is not! The delivery driver arrived and didn't wait for me to answer the door, so I called them back and suggested they change the wait time on the menulog site. They did not seem to take accountability for the time- even though I was very understanding. I told her we sent a refund to the store and asked if they would look at it when they get back. The food was hot and overall okay but my burrito didn't have the avocado in it. Overall, abysmal wait time and bad customer service over the phone and in person. Will not ask for...

We stayed in Wangaratta for one night on our way towards the Great Ocean Road and wanted to get dinner that was simple, easy and reasonably priced. Zambrero delivered on all of these, and topped it off with friendly service and great quality food.

The staff there worked hard, and despite a steady stream of people passing through, we did not have to wait long for our food. While it's certainly fast food fare, it's far healthier than McDonald's or any similar fast foods within the area. Well worth the price, and a place I'd as happily visit again, along with any other outlets in the chain that I see...
