I came here with a friend about a month or two ago. It was 8.30pm on a Saturday night and we’d ordered and were waiting. While my friend went to the bathroom, a middle aged Caucasian man, who my friend believed was the owner, was clearing a table next to us. He angrily spoke to me, saying “you really got in on the nick of time didn’t you.” When I apologised and said we’d be quick, he scoffed. It was a bit uncomfortable and frightening as I was alone. I noticed increased hostility towards me as he continued to clear the table. I would have been happy to take my food in takeaway containers had it been requested. This interaction has scared me away from returning to the restaurant, and it really put a dampener on the evening. However, the food was beautiful, and the Thai woman that served us was so kind, friendly and accommodating. I was throwing up whether to give a 2 Star or 3 Star review but decided on 2 Star as I literally don’t want to return if that’s how I’m going to be treated. The food was quick, and we left the restaurant at around 8.50. I was just a bit disappointed by the hostility as I have frequently ordered takeaway from gthai and that was the first time I’d dined in. It’s not behaviour I would expect from the owner of...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at G Thai Restaurant in Wagga, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. Let me start by raving about their mouthwatering chicken soup with coconut and lemon grass, infused with the delightful flavor of Thai milk tea. This dish is an explosion of rich and aromatic flavors that will tantalize your taste buds. It's the perfect combination of creamy coconut, tangy lemon grass, and the unique twist of Thai milk tea. Every spoonful was pure bliss, and it has become my go-to dish whenever I visit G Thai. Aside from the fantastic food, the service at G Thai Restaurant is truly commendable. However, one thing to note is that G Thai Restaurant only accepts cash payments. So, it's essential to have some cash on hand when you visit. The ambiance of the restaurant is another aspect that deserves praise. It exudes a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal. Whether you're visiting with friends, family, or going for a quiet meal alone, G Thai provides a warm and comfortable setting that enhances your...
Read moreUnfortunately one of the worst dining out experiences I have ever had . The only saving grace was the food however after waiting over 2 hours seated whilst the kitchen pushed out take away in preferance to seated paying customers its a small consolation ? After booking at 7pm not recieving meals until 9pm.(closing time) Non existent table service, air conditioning turned off at 9pm probably to encourage us to leave? We booked due to largly good reviews, reasonable prices and were told they accepted dine and discover vouchers. However They Would Not accept dine and Discover vouchers. the mains were very small the staff were generally Rude and ignored our group There was no order how meals were served Entrees were served after mains, roti bread arrived when everyone finished mains. No apology nor discount was given for the inconvenience. No disability accessible toilet meaning we had to push my elderly 87yo mother to a public toilet several hundered metres away. Probably an ok place for take away but if you are after a pleasant dining experience...
