Sportsmen's Club Hotel — Restaurant in Wagga Wagga City Council

What a delightful find! My wife and I were travelling from Adelaide to Sydney, and just Googled a cheap bed for the night after a day of driving. Instead we found this! Checked in at 10:00 pm by Mel who has the customer skills of someone twice her age i.e. fabulous. She also helped organise parking for me as we had a trailer. The traditional upstairs country hotel room had recently been decorated in a most untraditional way. We loved it. The queen bed was comfy. In-room handbasin to supplement the (again traditional) shared wet area down the hall. Large TV and useful furniture. After settling in and cleaning up we went downstairs for a drink. Literally had the place to ourselves (it was a Tuesday night) and felt like royalty. The other staff we met were friendly and professional. And there is a beer garden! I haven't travelled those parts in 50 years, but we'd love to go back. Oh, and it was the cheapest accommodation we could find in Wagga Wagga. And to Mel? Long may you prosper. You...

On a Good Friday, when you expect very little to be open, we came across this magnificent hotel on our travels which took us through Wagga Wagga. From the attractive exterior to the modern interior and the spacious beer garden everything looks great. Travelling with a dog, we sat outside in the beer garden where you are still part of the action with screens displaying sport. The meals were reasonably priced, especially the Monday to Friday lunch specials. We ordered the fish and it was cooked to perfection as were the vegetables. Our dog was looked after too, with staff member Eva obtaining water for him as she told us about the other things the hotel had to offer. Eva is surely an asset to the Sportsmen's Hotel. The only downside was, as we were travelling, we weren't able to stay longer and soak in the wonderful ambience of this place. We are already planning trips back to Wagga, just to go back to this...

Bistro way exceed our entire families expectations. My family were looking for somewhere nice to celebrate our Son's Graduation. My Son had a taste for a Schnitzel. We chose the Sportsmans Club Hotel after reading reviews and were thrilled with our choice. The meal options were amazing and very fairly priced, The choices on the menu very extensive with heaps of great options including a quality salad bar and multiple choices of side dishes and five gravy selections included with your order. To add the Icing on the cake the meal included a drink. To further improve a very impressive presentation of meals was the Five Star Service.
