Had the opportunity to stumble upon this gem of a bar in Warrnambool last week when my girlfriend and I was visiting and we were treated to a venue filled with history, delicious food and cocktails.

Upon our arrival we were greeted by Tom, the manager of the venue and before being seated, he invited us for a venue tour which we enthusiastically agreed. Tom's detailed tour of the building and how the walls had been preserved till this day got us very impressed as although modern looking, the building is filled with rich heritage. Some of the stone walls in the basement even had writings from when it was still a bakery back in the day!

We were also fortunate enough to sample the new Winter Menu that had just launched and the food was super hearty, especially during a chilly night. My personal favourite was the chowder like soup as it really warmed the missus and I as the sun was setting. The only slight drawback was the spiciness of the prawns served as it was a tad bit strong for us. Otherwise, everything else was perfect. The sushi cocktail was also my favourite as I absolutely hate wasabi but I was chugging down this wasabi cocktail as it was just so so yummy!

Kudos to the entire Frolic team for the awesome experience! I'll definitely visit again...

Didn’t even get as far as eating here but I think we dodged gastro big time! Arrived for our booking, no entry at front and no signage as to where to go. Anyway, figured it was down the walkway to the side. Very odd decor and vibe. Not at all like the website purports. No one was there to welcome us. We walked in and then out again and a groups of youngish chefs were gathered chatting in the kitchen as if they had finished for the evening (this was 7pm) all ignored us. Walked back in again and interrupted their chatter to ask if we could get our table. We were then told to take any table but no one followed us out with menus. Disgusting the table was crawling with ants. Decided to escape straight away. Very bad vibe and I could imagine this place will be shut down at least temporarily by the food safety authorities before long. Something very odd going on here. Dreadful! In the end we walked around to the Warrnambool Hotel and had an adequate simple meal there. Overall standards of evening dining are average/below average in this town so you’d really need to ramp up the hygiene and...

Went to Frolic Lane for the first time for a girls night out. We ordered, paid and gave our table number, a staff member then asked us to move to another table after we ordered food/drinks due to larger group needing bigger table space. After waiting for 30+ minutes we didn’t receive our food, I asked staff about the order and informed them we moved tables. Our food wasn’t given to our previous table or new table. The waiter told me the food was already given when it never was. I was then informed they ran out of food. As a paying customer this was a horrible experience. Terrible service and communication. I won’t be coming back, such a shame as I travelled 300km to enjoy a night out with girlfriends and this is the...

Always a nice place for a drink, food this time around was bad. Margarita pizza, pictures show with cherry tomatoes but had regular tomato. Tomato was cut super thick, there almost no sauce, there had to be almost 2 whole tomatoes used on the pizza which resulted in a soggy mess. Really hope your chef didn't make this... Had different pizzas on previous visits and they were amazing. Chips were a bit burnt, like black bits, but otherwise ok. Great service, nice and warm sitting in the sun

We came up from Melbourne and decided to try this place ….. The atmosphere … great ! The music …. Fantastic !! The Long Island ice teas …. Amazing!!!! Had an absolute blast of an evening - the sweet waiter who kept bring our drinks out - thank you so much, your friendly disposition was so lovely! To the mixologist making our drinks - ooooft, they were amazing! We tried a few different ones before settling on the long islands - they were just the best !! Loved this place !
