Henna Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Warrnambool

First time going for tea for a family of five here. Food was well over cooked. Nuggets were dry and shrivelled, the Chico rolls were dry and burnt. And the potato cakes were burnt and hardly any potato in them. Chips for $5 were not enough for 1 person let alone a family. When I called and complained they said to bring it back and they would remake. When I got there the manager said nothing wrong with it and that’s how they cook it. So if you want chips ask for undercooked. When I returned home with the second batch they were the same and burnt and full of oil. Absolutely disgusting. I called again and the manager said to bad we cooked it twice and refused to listen to my complaint and then banned us from the shop and hung up on me after saying they have the best reputation in Warrnambool. not that we will ever go there again. Rude, arrogant manager with disgusting...

Best fish n chips I've had in as long as i can remember! Beautifully cooked fresh fish in a spot on batter. I got a flathead tail and was given extra to make sure it was enough as the flatty tails are a bit small sometimes (never had that anywhere else) and it was more than enough! The flake was beyond words as well! Perfect firm, thick, moist flakey fillet and the taste that only comes from fresh flake. The chips were also cooked to perfection and the minimum serve was plenty.

And to top it off, the bloke was very friendly, super easy going and somehow made me feel local!

The only fish n chip shop I'll go to in warnambool in future!!...

Food was over cooked bad end up bining all but the flake, the flake was the only thing that wasn't overcooked.. Looks like they don't really care about food quality, was really looking forward to some nice fish and chips but ended up disappointed and will go else where next time visit warrnambool. Also one of the most expensive fish shops around $2 for potato cakes bit of a rip off especially a lott of places around vic still sell them for 1.20-1.50 we order 4 and 3 ended up in bin. Wasn't even busy last night when we went there so unsure how they could...
