Belle Vue Cafe — Restaurant in Warwick

I don't normally leave reviews but I feel I have to for the sake of others. I wish I could leave negative stars to communicate the serious negativity I fee.

After ordering a cup of tea and raisin toast, everything seemed fine, there was only about 20 customers and 3 staff, so things seemed relaxed. An hour later I hadn't received anything, at the 1 hour and 15 minute mark I finally received 2 sad, cold pieces raisin toast with a hotel butter packet. And I'm the lucky one, the person I was with ordered a sandwich and coffee, neither of which materialised (as well as my tea) even after the 1 hour and 30 minute mark of us waiting, before we finally decided to leave. I feel I should stress it was not busy, and I saw at least 3 staff, which later became 4, and not many people, but my breakfast of tea and raisin toast, the kind of thing you make in 5 minutes before work, was apparently an insurmountable task for this cafe. I could have walked to the shops, bought tea and raisin toast, walked back to the cafe, and prepared it faster, objectively, and cheaper. If everything on the menu had been free I still would have been disappointed and concerned for the customers, and management. This is the kind of utterly baffling experience that ruins a weekend, becomes a recurring topic of conversation in the friend group for months, and a continuous taint that dissuades me from ever gambling with my time and money in Warwick as a whole, let alone this woeful excuse of a cafe. I am disappointed I’m a regular and I suffer with a lot of food allergies one of them is night shade foods, I love the vegie bowl the cost of this bowl is $18, every time I order this bowl I ask for no tomato, no egg plant and no hash brown the tomato is not even on the list for this item on the menu anyways and sometimes they decorate the dish with it, well today it came out with one white potato chip in it and a whole tomato 🍅 I normally complain but I didn’t today I just passed off the tomato to a friend I’m disappointed that I don’t get the quantity that I pay for or even...

Friendly and efficient service. Nice oat milk coffee and really great scrambled eggs. GF bread was fresh and quality mushrooms were cooked to perfection. Will go back. 5star

Back for a second visit 04/09/2021 and the service wasn't friendly at all. I had my head bitten off for asking for DF and GFO on the same breakfast I had last time. I guess the lady serving is having a really bad week/month/life. I hope it improves for her quickly so she doesn't make other customers feel like they're life ruining for having food allergies.
