I I walked in intending to dine-in and saw three tables occupied with groups of people, so not overly busy, and one person in front of me for pick up. We both waited some time before he was finally given his food with an apology for the wait, I don't know how long he was waiting, but it turns out every person from hereon would experience lengthy waits and apologies.
After he left I patiently waited at the counter to be seated. There were three girls working, one girl approached the other two about a table who never received their drinks, they were trying to figure out who took the order and focused on the drinks for quite a while. I continued to wait patiently but received no recognition. I wouldn't say they were rude, but it was extremely clear they needed training and had zero experience in hospitality. Now I'm no "snowflake", I continued to wait and just hope the food was good, and I'd be happy and leave satisfied, I wasn't in a rush.
Eventually I was served, I then waited over half hour for one main dish and a steamed rice. As soon as I looked at the main dish I absolutely knew it wasn't going to be very tasteful at all, and honestly, it was far worse than I expected. The main thing that stood out was the sauce which was a thick, gooey, jelly type sauce, more like a thick fatty gravy. It was extremely gelatinous. I can honestly say it was the worst beef and cashew nut I've ever had.
I was a little suspect when I walked in that there wasn't a single worker in sight who wasn't Caucasian, but again I gave the place the benifets of the doubt at first, this clearly isn't a show stopper in itself. Perhaps they still cook good food, perhaps they have more authentic chefs out the back, but neither of these were the case it seems.
When I finished I made an effort to look at the other tables and they all had leftovers of the same style gelatinous type sauces, whether they be noodle, beef, or chicken dishes.
Furthermore while I was sitting at my table there were numerous drinks orders forgotten, mistakes made, and take away customers waiting extremely long periods of time.
Overall, the staff smiled but were incompetent at times to be frank, the food was extremely slow to come, the taste was a zero out of five, and the consistency of the sauces, well, it seems they're using lard or something similar in all their sauces. I'm very confident if saw them make it I would've been sick while eating it.
In saying all of this if this type of sauce is something I'm not familiar with, and you like it, then this place...

Disappointed to see the plastic cutlery left open on the counter on a bamboo platter for everyone else to put their covid hands on....they should issue the cultery to you personally to avoid infections. Had to throw the serviettes as they didn't smell fresh from being left out in the open next to the forks.

Read moreUse to go there nearly every week for lunch. They had great service, great food and price for their lunch menu and we use to buy a 1.25 bottle of soft drink with our food order. We stopped going for about 4 months and then went back again for lunch to find their service was poor, the amount of food we use to get on our plate was down to half size, the price remained the same and you could'nt buy a 1.25lt bottle of soft drink. And no this wasn't a 1 of thing cause we have been back a few times and have ceased buying of the lunch menu. There smorgasboard nights are still good (borderline great) and the price makes it still a worth while...
