Difficult to find as there is no large signage where you expect it to be. It is next to Hans Cafe at Warwick Shopping Centre. Atmosphere is good with a very luxurious feel given the wallpaper and padded seats. Staff seem to be family & are friendly. Service is courteous & was prompt after ordering at the counter. Roti Parathas/Canada- ordered the plain that came with 2 pieces with a curry sauce & a Dhall. It was crispy on the outside, was "fluffed/slapped together" to puff up just as one gets in Malaysia & Singapore. The inside just seemed a little denser than normal. (In comparison to Suzie's Makan Place & Rada Sayang Cafe). It was still a good dish. Mee Sotong Penang $18- this is their premium Mee Goreng only offered here in Perth ( at the moment) as their signature Mee Goreng.(normal priced at $15.50) - it tasted OK, not very spicy, probably a little salty & on the wet side. Still an acceptable dish. Egg Masala Dosai $14.50- the difference from the normal Masala Dosa($12.50) is egg in the actual dosai. It tasted good but I would prefer the normal one for future as I did not feel the difference to be honest. Pasembur / Indian Muslim rojak (Weekend Special) - portion size is good. Fried Ingredients good. The sauce after the 3rd mouthful of the dish just felt super sweet. Very sickly sweet.. Hopefully they could improve the sauce to balance the sweetness off in the future. It is fantastic to have a Mamak Style eatery up in the North. Not easy to open a new restaurant so really do hope they can tweak their offering & do well!

A wonderful addition to the list of Asian food outlets north of the river. It's much closer to us to get good Malaysian Indian food. We had lunch there and ordered the chicken biryani and the mixed satay. We were mindful that the restaurant had only been open for about a week. It was busy for a Tuesday and there were many takeaway orders. The boss noticed that we were waiting for a while for our food and appeared with two complimentary glasses of teh tarik (pulled tea sweetened with condensed milk that is distinguished by a lot of froth). It was a nice and much appreciated gesture. The biryani, that included a hard-boiled egg, was huge and could easily have fed two. The chicken curry, with a decent bite but not too spicy, was served separately. Both were well cooked and nicely flavoured. We have had many satays across Perth and this was as good as any we have had. The peanut sauce taste especially authentic. It did not come with kutupat (rice cake) but the usual onions and cucumber were there. We are keen to try the dosai, something we usually have to travel some distance to eat. Other patrons there on the day appeared to also be well-satisfied with their food.

Place was easy to spot from the road with a bright signage. Order to be placed and paid at the counter. Food all nicely presented for serving and staff seemed friendly. Menu descriptions could be more specific and in actual English instead of Malaysian so that customer can actually understand what’s on the menu. It’ll also be helpful to have mentions of spiciness for each applicable dish. We ordered Maggie Goreng for our child but turned out to be spicy in the noodle itself but also drizzle of chilli sauce on the cucumbers. Fortunately she was still able to eat some but needing sips of water with every mouthful. Satay chicken didn’t have any chargrill flavour and was a bit too dry and hard to remove from the skewer sticks, also quite expensive at $30 for a dozen. Nasi Lemak with fried chicken and curry chicken (main) was very average. Teh Tarik was served in a very small cup for $6. It was good to try for experience but unfortunately not really the place we’d go back again anytime soon.

Disappointing Experience at Penang Dollah. I recently dined at Penang Dollah with friends and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this establishment had some serious issues.

The biggest disappointment came when I ordered the fish curry, only to find pieces of chicken in it. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, their explanation was shocking - they claimed that a fish curry had been dumped on top of the remains of a chicken curry in the Bain Marie. This lack of attention to detail and proper food preparation and cross contamination is simply unacceptable.

To make matters worse, the waiter's behavior was unprofessional and unsanitary. They actually picked up chicken bones from our plates to identify them in the kitchen, as if conducting a forensic investigation. This left us feeling uncomfortable and questioning the overall cleanliness of the establishment.

Even the signature Tea Tarik failed to meet expectations. It was neither hot nor frothy, which is a disappointment considering it is a staple Malaysian drink that should be prepared with care.

Perhaps the most frustrating part of the experience was the manager's refusal to offer a refund for the fish curry chicken mystery. This lack of accountability and customer service only added to our disappointment.

Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. The other curries and roti we ordered were very ordinary, lacking the flavors and authenticity we had hoped for. To make matters worse, everyone in our party complained of upset stomachs after the meal, suggesting potential problems with food quality or hygiene.

On a slightly positive note, the satay was the only dish that stood out. It was flavorful and well-prepared, providing a glimmer of hope amidst an otherwise lackluster dining experience.

Overall, my visit to Penang Dollah restaurant was marred by numerous disappointments. The presence of chicken in the fish curry, unprofessional behavior from the waiter, lackluster Tea Tarik, and refusal to address the issue with the fish curry chicken mystery were all major letdowns. The ordinary curries and upset stomachs experienced by everyone in our party further added to our dissatisfaction. I hope that Penang Dollah takes these criticisms constructively and works towards improving their food quality, hygiene standards, and customer service...

DISHONEST, TERRIBLE SERVICE. WON'T BE COMING BACK.

Ordered roti with lamb curry. After paying realised I had been overcharged and when I asked why the man at the counter showed me the receipt where he had charged me for a lamb curry main which costed $12 more than the lamb curry add-on I expected.

When I questioned this, his immediate reaction was to blame me and repeatedly say "you never asked for an add-on", as if I, a customer, am expected to remember/read their whole menu and know that there is a lamb main curry as well?? I believe it's his job at the restaurant to clarify which one I meant if there were two similar items?? I did not appreciate being blamed especially when I asked in a civilised manner.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I then asked if I could change my order and be refunded (again, civilly) to which he angrily looked at me and said "it's already been made". Given this was less than 5 minutes after I had ordered and given that the order was curry, I think he was lying as curry is usually made in big pots beforehand. He could have easily scooped out a smaller portion and refunded me?? But clearly chose the opportunity for the money grab. Also the curry did not come to our table immediately?? We waited another 10-15 minutes for it to arrive so no I do not think it had "already been made".

Very disappointing as a loyal customer who used to go almost every other week. If this is how you treat your loyal customers, I am definitely not coming back. Dishonest and...
