Hi my child and I visited dome Warwick, WA like many times before over the years since 2003. We live locally. Today I ordered a crispy potato rosti served with bacon ,poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. My son ordered a chicken wrap off the signature range menu. My order came to me and I automatically see n the rostis were soggy ,cold and very moist like it wasn't cooked and there was no crisp at all to it ive never returned my order there before and I was not using any tone and the ladies behind the counter were nice. So I kindly ask the staff if they were able to remake the rostis after they agreed it didn't look like it had been cooked properly. I then received my order again to which again the rostis were like mash and flat it looked and appeared as though they were reheated and just the top was placed on a grill when you pick it up or go to cut into it its really soggy,and the eggs weren't poached either there were very hard bits to the eggs. I was kind in my tone and asked because of my order not being cooked well may I have a refund. The girl behind the counter explained she would need to ask the owner as yesterday she gave a customer a refund and she was "yelled at abusively " by him and she was scared of him. The owner approached me already huffing and puffing with an animated state and refused to assist me instead gave me a historical perspective on where rostis came from, I said to him "look Sir you can't tell me this looks like the menu ,nor us it crispy and it's soggy and wet" I also asked a customer next to me if his thoughts were the same. The owner got more heated and animated ,abused me verbally ,used profanity and said "I'm sick of you people asking for refunds" I asked him what does it mean by "yous people" I'm born in Australia and I felt it to be a racist comment. A man walking by over heard this conversation and said "look mate that's not acceptable how you've spoken to this woman she's a paying customer " the owner proceeded to verbally abuse him and then me again and told me and him that I was never welcome back into my local dome,Cafe. There are children around ,my child near me and he has just gone and abused me and then this man (another customer) who was trying to tell the owner what he was saying was deplorable. The girl that gave me my refund after all of that apologised profusely for my experience and told me he yells at them all the time. Ordered a kids Eggs & Bacon on Toast (minus the egg), Beef Sliders and a Steak Sandwich.
Kids Meal:
The toast was cold and there was a tiny piece of ripped bacon (not even a whole rasher). When we questioned, we were told if we wanted more bacon we had to pay $6 extra, which would make it more expensive than an adults bacon on toast. We pointed out the rasher was not even a whole rasher and half wash missing. She stated they don't use rasher bacon and use strip bacon, despite that half the rasher was still present and all other meals with bacon has rasher bacon and the menu states rasher bacon. The server refused to accept the tiny strip of bacon was less than sufficient. Not to mention we removed the egg from the order, so adding a tad bit more bacon wouldn't cost them more. At the Scarborough restaurant they provide a decent serve of bacon rashers.
Steak Sandwich:
The steak was thin, dry, over cooked and chewy and mostly un-eaten. No Ketchup for the chips, where the Scarborough restaurant provides. A waste of $25
Sliders:
Were ok/average. The pickles were just slopped on the side and not in the sliders. No Ketchup for the chips, where the Scarborough restaurant provides. Not worth $25
Service:
We waited almost an hour for food to arrive. The server was combative and argumentative when we questioned the inadequate portion of bacon on the kids meal.
Atmosphere:
The venue is very dark and dimly lit, literally in the basement of the shopping centre's undercover car park.
Outcome: No Manager available to speak to.Submitted a complaint online, with no response. Will not be back...
Read moreWe have been going to the Dome at Warwick for many years and always enjoyed everything. Today we went there after we hadn't been for a few months, it wasn't busy at all like it usually was which we thought was good. We paid for order at 12.05pm and our coffees arrived shortly after. After about 30 minutes we still hadn't received our meals even though people who come in a while after us had already received theirs. I asked one of the staff to check on our meals but didn't get a reply, another 15 minutes past so I asked another staff to check & still not reply as to why they were taking so long. After another 10 minutes our meals finally arrived with barely an apology. Well, the toast was cold & hard, tomato was so mushy I couldn't even pick it up on the fork, hashbrown was soggy & the mushrooms were cold, dry & brittle but eggs, bacon & sausage were OK. We should have taken the meals back but decided to eat what was edible as by this time we were hungry. So many tables were dirty even though we could see staff standing in the kitchen chatting and laughing - clearly whoever was in charge didn't care either. To add insult to injury the female toilets were disgusting. One toilet had an "out of order" sign and the other one had a filthy seat, no sanitary bin and then it didn't flush so in fact there were 2 toilets "out of order"
