We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at 2 Fat Indians in Joondalup. From the moment we entered the restaurant until we finished, paid and left, all the staff member made sure that we were looked after. We were warmly greeted by a staff member and ushered us to our table, orders were promptly taken and the request to make sure that no peanuts on my daughter’s order plus the level of spicyness on one of our main dish order, was notably taken and relayed back to us. The waiter assuring us that there are no peanuts on my daughter’s order is very much appreciated. Throughout our dinner, a staff member would come and ask how our meals are. At one point, we found a rice dish very spicy and although we weren’t complaining at all, they try to remedy it by giving us a bowl of white rice to pair it with a mains order. That is a gesture that can only come from a restaurant who actually listens and care for their customers’ enjoyment of their food.
The food is all excellent. From our entree to our mains, all were very tasty and good amount of serving. Nothing to fault. It was our first time to try the mushroom jerim merim and it was delicious. The lamb was very tender and the sauces of all our order were great tasting.
The 2 Fat Indians - Joondalup is by far the best Indian restaurant we have ever been to. All the staff and the food were excellent. We highly recommend and we will definitely be going back...
Read moreWe had the mixed banquet and salted lassis as drinks. The Lassis were nice and refreshing.
Entrees consisted of pappadums with two dips, the mint yoghurt dip was nice but quite spicy. There was also a mixed platter of potato samosas, chicken drumstick and sheesh kebab. All of these were very nice and accompanied with similar dips.
Mains were three curries accompanied with saffron rice, garlic naan, raita and a vegetable salad. All of which were refillable upon request.
The rice and naan were tasty and freshly made. The raita was delicious. The butter chicken was okay but rather on the sweeter side, the chicken was tender and nicely cooked. The Dahl dish we didn’t overly care for to be honest and was mostly untouched. The lamb rogan josh curry sauce was very flavoursome, the lamb pieces were hit and miss - some were tender while others were honestly very dry and hard to even cut through.
One thing I’ll say though the restaurant itself had a great atmosphere and the service was top notice; very friendly and accommodating staff who made our...
Read moreWent here on Monday around 5 PM, just randomly choose Indian foods for late lunch. Only one staff on duty and no other customer there except 2 of us. The lady staff with long braided hair welcome us kindly, offer us plastic bag to carry our shopping stuffs that we hand-carried, and the Chef smile at us from the kitchen area. Good vibe when we walked in. The lady give us enough time to check on the menu and kindly explaining, and answering questions as we are not too familiar with Indian foods. We ended up ordered goat curry, lamb biryani, 2 serves garlic naan bread, 2 mango lassi, and gulab jamun. Couldn't expect more, food was fabulous, service was excellent. Food flavor is just perfect and portion is good to be shared. Best Indian food I've ever had in Perth tbh, even to be compared with other authentic Indian restaurants I've ever tried. Shout out loud to the lady that serve us, coming back to our tables regularly to check if everything was alright, and the Chef for the amazing food and hospitality :) 500%...
