Glad they brought this one back. Nice and juicy double fat smash patty's, tasty american cheese, awesome flavours from the confit button mushrooms, peppercorn mayo and gravy sauce. Freshness from the pickels, and nice textures from the garlic and love dust frites was great.

The burger was delicious. It had nice juicy patty's, that went perfectly with the subtle, sweet coffee flavour of the espresso BBQ sauce without being overpowering, crispy bacon, and a nice fresheness and crunch from the pickels, finished off with a honey chipotle mayo sauce.
The popcorn chicken was well cooked, with a nice crispy coating, and went well with the honey mustard aioli sauce.

12 Jul 2024 Classic add Bacon Burger Popcorn Chicken with Honey Mustard-Aioli Fries with Hot Dusting
The classic burger is all the flavours you would expect from a classic cheeseburger. Nicely cooked beef with crispy, lacey edges just how I like it, topped off with tasty cheese, pickels, raw onions, ketchup, and mustard. Always go the hot dusting for the fries. I can't go past the Honey Mustard-Aioli with the popcorn chicken.

3 Mar 2024 The Hot Stuff Burger was tasty, not so spicy as to distract from the flavour of the beef patty's and other flavours of the burger. The Popcorn Chicken went well with the hot dust and Honey Mustard-Aioli.
6 Jan 2024 The Black Label Deluxe Burger was tasty. It had a nice slight spice to it, and the popcorn chicken was tasty as always. The fries were different this time. They looked hand cut and were nice,...
ย ย ย Read more..It felt like.. it just wasn't enough to justify the price. What you see in the image cost $52 (2 burgers, 2 drinks [beer/soft drink]).
Both of us who attended had the same mutual feeling when we were leaving, it just wasn't satisfying.
Yes, the meat was nice; however, the hamburger buns had that cheap feeling to it (underwhelming, perhaps?). It reminded me of the hamburger buns which you can buy from Coles when you DIY at home.
Oddly enough, the top half of my burger's bun was cold which made zero sense as it was toasted. I can only assume it was pre-toasted (ie. in bulk) and left on or in a chilled location (ie. near an air conditioner vent, or refrigerated).
Staff were delightful, and gave us a heads up prior to ordering that we may wait up to 30 minutes. Our two burgers ended up taking well over 45 minutes to be served.
This was my first to this store, and it'll likely take quite a bit to entice me to return considering that there is indeed strong competition near by (literally, other side of the train tracks).
Edit:
It appears that a nerve was hit with the owners response when all I had done is provided a realistic review based on my own perceptions and overall experience from start to finish.
This is also taking into consideration (as the owner pointed out) that I did indeed pick a 'premium' option which didn't fall in line with my perception (in terms of price and visual observations), and what I had experienced.
The owner is also well within their rights to review the customer, free to call them 'stingy', whilst also citing an 'echidna in your pocket' and suggesting to visit Macca's whilst maintaining a defensive position towards a (somewhat rare) negative review.
I do however, believe that this is kind of response paints a persona which may not be desirable, especially in the eyes of the public. Each to their own of how they perceive such actions.
However, I do believe that it may discourage people to post reviews in future should it somewhat balanced or tilted towards the negative side of the scale rather than just never returning.
Furthermore, It may have been a busy night from the owners perspective; however, there were plenty of empty tables at least at the time of our visit. This is exactly why reviews are great as it clearly highlights the difference in perspectives and experiences.
If there was an option to provide an in-store feedback, I certainly would have spent the time to fill it out and submit it as that feedback loop is so important.
I do sincerely hope that the owner does honour their words and actually look at this from a neutral standpoint should they review this...
ย ย ย Read moreThe new permanent home of the legendary Smashburger BBQ popup aka best burgers in Perth, these burgers are incredibly good. Beef smash burgers have that snowflake edge and are juicy and delicious, and the chicken burgers are just as good if not better - chicken thighs deep fried to perfection, perfectly juicy and covered with some sort of magical delicious coating. Both burgers included the perfect amount of diced onion/sauce etc for that perfect tasty bite, and come in super toasted buns with a crispy edge like you get on great pancakes. "Dry" is the last thing on your mind with these burgers, they are actually quite drippy once you bite into them so have some napkins on hand. Prices start at $16 which seems steep but is fairly standard as these burgers have double patties by default.
Only downside is the wait time, if you've ever queued for a Smashburger popup get ready for a similar experience. We were told a 30 min wait when we came for lunch, but it ended up being an hour! Lots of very hangry looking customers queued up waiting outside. At some point during the wait we heard the staff switch to saying it was an hour wait to the new customers, and later on I heard they'd actually sold out and didn't reopen for dinner that day. Overall definitely recommend, but I'd advise you wait a couple of weeks for the hype to settle down before attempting to come here, and if you do come make sure to call or check their latest Instagram story to confirm if they're open, the hours on Google won't...
