I revisited Watertown Brand Outlet Centre after more than a year, and my experience was a mixed bag. On the positive side, the centre still houses a range of national and international brands, offering a variety of styles to fit different budgets. The bargains are certainly there if you're looking for adult fashion.

However, the atmosphere has noticeably shifted. I observed around 10-15 boarded-up shops during my walk around the centre, which took away from the overall shopping experience. Additionally, options for children's toys were scant, save for a pharmacy that had a limited selection.

Watertown remains a destination for bargain hunters, but it feels like it's in a period of transition. While the essence of what made it attractive is still there, there are areas for improvement that can't be overlooked. Here's hoping my next visit shows...

Possibly the worst experience you can have dealing with a government department. Typical public servants. No sense of urgency. I heard a couple of girls talking about last nights tv for a good 2 minutes before calling up the next customer. Minimum parking charge $4.50, & you need to know you number plate to get a ticket! Stupendous considering if you've just bought a new car you probably haven't got your rego plate burned into your brain. I arrived and the carpark was nearly half full & it still took 45 minutes just to hand in my number plates!! No consideration has been paid to the customer here. You have to go there so the DOT doesn't have to try. Not even worth one star! A study in how not to do business, very...

What do I love about City West? Easy and FREE parking! Well, free up to 2 hours. The popular place to visit at City West is SciTech, also home to the Planetarium - with a 180 degree screen, it's out of this world (mostly because they show astronomy films :D)! Check out the 3D printer in SciTech too, very cool. Also housed at City West is Domayne and Harvey Norman (computers and electrical). If you didn't know this, Domayne at City West is actually the bedding and furniture section of Harvey Norman ... confused? Yep, so am I, but I just bought a new mattress there and they had all the same deals as Harvey Norman had ... then to be told they were actually part of Hardly Normal. You learn something...
