I will not return to this store again - Rude, unapologetic, false advertising and cheat money. I ordered a Durian Gateau birthday cake for a family member and paid an extra $15 for the Durian ingredient.. ok, happy to pay for that as I was under the impression it would be made as per the picture in their cake menu file at store (and the breadtop website link!) with two layers of cream with visible durian chunks. However, the INSIDE of the cake looked nothing like it, just a simple sponge with single layer of cream and traces of durian.. no way close to what I was led to believe I was buying. Anyone could have replicated this at home from sponge and cream bought at a local grocery store.. (I did ask for the top of the cake to be decorated with mixed fruit rather than the original design - no issues there). I went back to the store a couple of days after to give feedback on the disappointing birthday cake, only to have the baker be defensive, raise his voice and shout at me in the store rather than being apologetic or offering any compensation. He tried to justify that that is 'how he makes the cake' and the picture on the cake menu is for online orders delivered from Eastern States stores, which is a lie as the same picture is used in the file in the local store... Ultimately, the baker is not skilled enough to replicate what is advertised, and also dishonest for taking the order and not making it clear that he could not replicate the cake as per the picture - however willing to charge an extra $15 too! outrageous! Shame on this store! You have lost my business and I am going to tell my entire network.

Came here to buy bread, snacks and cakes for several times. Selling Asian or Hong Kong Chinese style bread, cakes and snacks. Can pre-order birthday cakes. Some bread is yummy. Cakes are ok. Service: room for improvement. Need training. Quick movement at cashier, but some staff are rude. The extra small standardized plastic bags are not big/long enough for some long bread. Then the poking out part will be laying on the dirty front desk when the customers are busy at paying money. That makes me unwilling to buy some long bread if I don't bring my own container. Could they provide one more longer or bigger size of bags? Same problem to other branches.

Never buy an ice cream cake here. It's been made over a month. "The frosting on the cake has completely hardened and cracked. The fresh strawberries and mangoes on top have dried out. I specifically asked the salesperson if the cake was fresh and whether it used fresh fruit or dried fruit as the fruit looks odd. The girl insisted firmly that everything was freshly baked. This is an absolute cheat. Won't buy anything from there anymore.

Because of rudeness! Today I bought a new type of bun on offer, noticed there is loads of cream and politely asked to return it for a refund (lactose intolerant). The baker has raised his voice at me immediately: “You bite, you pay!!!”and continued to shout while I tried to reason with him. Even if it’s your company policy not to refund under these circumstances, how dare he raise his voice at me unprovoked.

Suffice to say, I’m not returning here, the experience has made me want to avoid any of their branches...
