The Coffee Club — Restaurant in Cloverdale

Unfortunately we did not have the best experience today at cloverdale. I took my mother out for lunch and ordered hers which was fine and mine a mushroom fabel vegetarian burger . I received a burger with a meat patty and bacon. I'm vegetarian and can't have meat for medical reasons since birth . My mother went up to let the girl know who took our orders away. The manager (an Asian woman who took my order) then came storming over with my order again saying this is what you ordered. If you want something different you need to go up to the counter and re order. I said okay I will do that can I please have a refund for this as it was put through incorrectly. She just argued saying this is what you wanted you have to go up and order again because itsy fault. (and pay for something else). She then told me to take this home . I said sorry I can't have it and explained about my medical condition. She huffed and puffed and stormed off. I got my meal replacement in the end but yes I was a bit shocked and could not believe that she tried to make me pay for something else that was understood incorrectly and deemed it my fault. Just shows they only care about money...

Unfortunately this will be the first negative review I’ve ever given as I only like to call out positive experiences but this has got to be the worse coffee club I’ve ever visited. Numerous customers complaining about long wait times, incorrect orders being delivered to tables, cold food, dirty cutlery. Really disappointing to see a company like yours a lack of care.

The deal breaker for me to make this review is the poor cleaning standards. I can wear a busy day and long wait time if food is still hot and the plates aren’t dirty or the cutlery dirty. Scrambled eggs with bacon and sour dough toasted. Bacon was very good and so was the toast. The scrambled eggs where revolting. I believe they where rehydrated package eggs. How do I know? Many years working on mine sites being served the same tasteless crap. Rehydrated eggs are colourless and tasteless. You can not get fresh eggs to taste like that. And once you have eaten a serve you don't forget the texture. I get it that with bird flue the availability of getting fresh eggs may be an issue but if a restaurant where to serve rehydrated food the customer should be informed. Very...
