Cafe 2 Twenty Four in Belmont, Perth - a serendipitous culinary journey that left me in awe. I walked in expecting a simple cappuccino for breakfast, but what I found was nothing short of a gastronomic masterpiece. This unassuming cafe had a culinary prowess that was nothing short of extraordinary.
As I placed my order for my usual morning breakfast, little did I know that this seemingly ordinary request would lead me to discover a treasure trove of flavors. The anticipation grew as I waited for my dish, and when it arrived, I was taken aback by the attention to detail in both its preparation and presentation.
The babychino, a delightful treat that I initially ordered for the young ones, turned out to be a revelation even for the grown-ups. Creamy, frothy, and topped with a sprinkle of chocolate, it was pure indulgence in a tiny cup.
And then came the Salmon Eggs Benedict, a dish that could only be described as divine. The perfectly poached eggs nestled atop tender, flaky salmon, all perched gracefully on a bed of buttery hollandaise sauce. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors, a symphony of taste that left me craving more.
But the surprises didn't end there. The Shakshuka, a Middle Eastern delight, was a burst of colors and flavors. The rich tomato base, infused with aromatic spices, cradled the crispy chorizo and perfectly runny egg. Each bite was a celebration of textures, and the well-cooked beans added a touch of earthiness to the ensemble. Served with ciabatta toast, it was a dish that could warm the soul even on the chilliest of mornings.
As I savored each mouthful, I couldn't help but be grateful for stumbling upon this culinary haven. Cafe 2 Twenty Four had an unassuming exterior, but within its walls, it held the heart of a passionate kitchen that crafted dishes with love and precision.
The chef's dedication to using fresh, quality ingredients shone through in every bite, and it was evident that they took pride in creating dishes that were not just visually stunning but packed with layers of flavor that danced on the taste buds.
And so, my simple cappuccino breakfast turned into an unforgettable feast. Cafe 2 Twenty Four had captured my heart with its authentic and masterful creations. It reminded me that sometimes the best culinary experiences can come from the most unexpected places.
As I left the cafe, my heart was full, and I couldn't wait to spread the word about this hidden gem. Cafe 2 Twenty Four had left an indelible mark on my palate and my memory, and I knew I would be back to savor their culinary magic...

Read moreIf you have ever been, studied or lived in the hill stations of Darjeeling, Kuersong or Kalimpong, then you will be very familier with the word "Momos". And today I found, Darjeeling style momos in Perth, at this quaint little cafe in Belmont. The whole Himalayan belt claims "momos" as theirs, but as a person who has grown up with momos, and the different ways to prepare it, the authentic taste of Darjeeling style momos can be found at this place. We tried Pork momos and they were good. They do vegetable and chicken momos too. The chilly sauce they served along with the momos were also very authentic. We would have liked it a bit more spicier but that is more like a personal choice. Did manage to have a chat with the owner Sunita and her daughter and they did confirm that their style of momos were the Darjeeling style. So there you go folks, if you are in the mood for Darjeeling style momos then this cafe will certainly not disappoint you. It certainly did bring back memories of my school days and the hill stations of Darjeeling...
