Cafe 63 — Restaurant in Western Australia

This cafe USED to be absolutely amazing. However it was closed down for a few months and apparently new owners have taken over. Visited today for lunch ( Sunday around 1pm ) Many Tables were filthy and also still had previous customers dishes left on them. Asked for the table to be cleared and cleaned which took about 10 minutes for a staff member to arrive and do this. Waited another 20 minutes for someone to come take our order and in the end went up to the counter to ask a waitress if she would come and take our order. Then waited about 45 minutes and walked back to the front area where you can see straight into the kitchen, where the staff were all stood chatting and not much food making happening 🤔 The kitchen looked far from clean too ! I asked when our order would be ready and was told another 5 minutes. Went back to sit at the table and waited another 15 mins before our food arrived. The chips were COLD, the chicken schnitzel was as tough as old boots with human hair somehow squashed and cooked in the middle of it...we pulled a lot of it out and showed the Waitress. She said she would let the chef know but at this point I was too disgusted and over having waited for so long in the first place. THE CAFE WAS NOT EVEN THAT BUSY WHEN WE ARRIVED EITHER. There was another couple seated near us that also said that they had waited ages for their food and that it was very poor quality and that they wouldn't be returning. They mentioned that they had been regulars here in the past and today was their first time since it had re-opened too. Another table of customers also commented that they had waited ages for their food too and were very disappointed. At this rate, many won't be return customers.

Not sure who now owns Cafe 63 in Mandurah, but maybe you need to be overseeing how the cafe is run 🤔

Definitely will NOT be returning either !

Such a shame, as like I say, this used to be one of my Family's favourite Cafes to dine out at.

My dad and I came here on the 27th of January 2023 for a nice dinner and drink, a girl named Jazmyne served us. She was lovely, had a good attitude, was clean tidy and well presented, she was clear when she spoke and was very open to having quick conversations. the food was absolutely amazing and drink prices were fair. I had the Hillary steak cooked medium rare. The mushroom sauce was delicious, the steak was juicy, tender, flavourful and cooked to perfection. My dad had a grilled chicken salad with Italian dressing and for the drink he had a smoothie called the “hooker” (lol) Jazmyne had made this for him he said it was very refreshing the flavours were lovely he also said the chicken was delicious and flavourful. Some of the best food we have had in a very long time from any cafe or restaurant, hats off the the chef who came and gave our food to us himself he was a lovely gentleman. Service was terrible, staff didn't appear to have a clue what they were doing, we half ordered our meal then the lady interrupted by another staff member and vanished, only to reappear at another table with drinks and then proceeded to take their order ! I went to front desk and complained and placed our order. My food was acceptable but my wife's Fettucine with grilled chicken but no spinach came with Fettucine and sauce but no chicken, but also raw onion. I again complained only to be told they had only been open a couple of weeks and staff were still training. Just not good enough I'm afraid, oh and no answer to my wife's missing chicken !
