D'lights Cafe — Restaurant in Western Australia

Very weird experience here...I came here with a group of ladies to have breakfast. We had booked 2 tables for us so when I got there I asked about the booking. Immediately I could tell that the lady who I was dealing with was not very friendly, however I continued to smile. She pointed at an outside table that said "reserved" on it. However, there were a few older ladies coming to the breakfast, and I realised that it might be a bit cold outside for them. So I looked to see if there would be space inside and saw two tables that would fit us. I waited at the inside tables for the rest of the group to join me. When they arrived, there was some back and forth about where they wanted to sit. They decided they wanted to sit inside, however the tables inside weren't joined and were 2 separate tables that needed to be pushed together. So one of the ladies went to the counter and politely explained the situation and asked if we could move the tables to sit inside. She rudely told my friend no and that the staff already put two tables together for us outside. My friend politely said that we wouldn't expect the staff to do it, we would all just push the tables together and then push them back when we were done. For some reason her response was "no we are too busy", which did not make sense at all...as we would occupy 2 tables anyway, whether we were inside or outside. Anyway, fast forward, we all went to sit outside but after about 10 mins everyone got really cold and I decided to go ask the man that looked like the manager about the tables inside. I very politely explained the situation to him, and he was more than happy to move the tables for us. I was surprised and wondered why the older lady had told us no. Fast forward to us all finally sitting inside, and going to order. It was the older lady that took my order and again, she wasn't friendly. I was actually dreading going up to the counter where she was because of how her behaviour towards us had been. We got our food and I'm sad to say it wasn't the best. So unfortunately, with not so great food and bad customer service from one of the staff members there, you get a 2 star review. I am more than happy to give this place another try in the future, and if things improve, I will change the review. Also, from reading the other reviews, I can see that I'm not the first one to complain about the lady that works there. Maybe she needs some customer service training or to take a break? Whatever it is, I hope...

They certainly don't deserve one star, but it's a shame I can't give them zero stars.

I went to this cafe, with my wife, to sit and relax and enjoy the views while having some food and drink. We ordered a chicken parmigiana and a chicken/prawn along with some drinks. The moment they delivered the food to the table, I immediately realised this is not the chicken parmi I was expecting. A tiny size chicken wrapped in some cheese and sauce, which later found out it's raw, with some deep super fried and dried fries which were certainly not fresh. You could easily notice the chicken is not cooked while trying to cut it. A single bite of the chicken was enough to figure out it's not edible. I called the waitress immediately and told her about my experience, she said she will take it back to the kitchen. We sat there and kept waiting for about 30 minutes without receiving any comments or replacement dishes. I called the same waitress again and asked for updates, and then was told that the owner says there is nothing wrong with the food and they are not going to replace it! I requested to talk to the owner directly as arguing with the waitress was useless. After waiting for a couple of minutes the owner emerged from the back of the cafe. I asked him for a refund as I never received the food I ordered and told him that we were waiting for half an hour and nobody told us anything. In reply to my request, the owner commented rudely that the quality of the food is my opinion only and their food is perfect, and the reason why we never received any comments or answers is because we never asked for it! I finally got my refund and left the cafe while still hungry, but the owner of this place has no idea at all about running a cafe business and dealing with customers. This was my first and most certainly the last time...

Placed an order for 2 x large breakfast, a mocha and a ice frappe. States on the menu you get a coffee included but doesn't include a choice of which one you want.

The BIG breakfast. Don't be fooled by the name it only came with one sausage, which taste like it was cooked yesterday and reheated. The toast was undercooked was more like bread and butter.

The ice frappe was horrendous, watered down milk at best.

Presentation was piss poor just thrown on to the plate especially for the price of $73. The service was awful, staff are miserable, didn't even check to see how our food was. Will definitely not be returning. So if you want a high priced breakfast and the same miserable service you'd get a funeral this is the spot for you. Not one good thing to say about this place.
