WE WERE REGULARS AT THIS LITTLE CAFE,GOING BACK TO 2015 ,BUT UNFORTUNATELY I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER,DUE TO TREATMENT AND MY HEALTH HAVE ONLY MANAGED A COUPLE OF VISITS DURING THE PAST 3 YEARS,THE FOOD WAS ALWAYS TOP NOTCH, GOOD ATMOSPHERE, UPDATE IS IMMINENT NEXT 24 HOURS🍷🍷 15 NOV TOOK SHIRLEY TO LUNCH AFTER MY PODIATRY APPOINTMENT. WE SETTLED FOR FISH CHIPS AND SALAD, ONE OF OUR ALL TIME FAVOURITES. GENEROUS PORTIONS OF CRISPY SNAPPER,CRUNCHY CHIPS,AND A REALLY FRESH LEAF SALAD,TEN OUT OF TEN FROM US BOTH. THE STAFF,AS USUAL FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING, HAD A COUPLE OF BEERS AND A BANANA CREPE FOR DESSERT🔴.GREAT LITTLE CAFE EATERY WITH GOOD FOOD AND SERVICE🔴 ONE SMALL CRITICISM, NOT A GREAT SELECTION OF CRAFT BEERS,AND NO GUINNESS.AT ALL.🍺ONCE AGAIN WE RETURNED TO "THE DUX" THIS TIME WITH 2 FAMILY FRIENDS,THE FOOD SERVICE ETC CANNOT BE FAULTED,MY FRIENDS SAID WHAT A WONDERFUL MEAL.A COUPLE OF SUGGESTIONS OF MINE THEY TOOK ON BOARD, IT WILL MAKE THIS CAFE,ONE OF BUSIEST IN OUR AREA🦆🦆. My girlfriend and I went there this morning for breakfast and coffee. We've always had lovely chats with the staff so we specifically decided to go to Dux this morning :)

The owner (I think she's the owner?) was so kind and compassionate, and it was so very clear that she has a strong passion for what she does, and ensuring that everyone leaves feeling happier and more loved. The staff did a great job with the situation they were in! One of their workers had called out so all staff members were working extremely hard to make sure that everyone's experience was delightful, despite the extra pressure. The only thing that changed from their regular spectacular service was the wait time, which is 100% understandable.

I had the banana crepes, with a side of bacon (couldn't decide between the banana or bacon crepes so I combined them lol), and it was delicious! The banana was the perfect texture, and crepes were magnificent, and they are very generous with the bacon size. I was expecting 2 bits of bacon like you'd get at Dome or something, and they instead gave 4 perfectly cooked bacon. The iced-coffee with an extra shot was smooth and refreshing, the espresso shots were perfectly made! It was a very filling meal, and it's started the weekend off to a great start!

My girlfriend and I had the perfect chance to talk about how our weeks have been, and really sit and enjoy each other's company while listening to the snazzy music Dux was playing in the cafe.

Had an excellent experience having breakfast at the Dux on a Sunday morning. I was with my mum and my son and we were all made to feel very welcome.

I had the Dux big breakfast. 2 eggs over easy, a decent serving of very nice bacon, 2 small beef sausaged, some potato croquetes that were nice and crispy, mushrooms, spinach, fried tomato, proper butter and 3 lovely pieces of toasted sourdough.

My son had the kids crepes with nutella. He absolutely loved them. So much so that I was unable to get a picture before he had scarfed one down.

My mum had a banana crepe dish. It was absolute decadence!

We also ordered 2 lattes in mugs and a chocolate milkshake. Coffee was very good.

After finishing our meal and paying, the manager came over with a nice big cookie in a bag (free of charge) for my son to take as a treat, he was over the moon (and also asking me when we will go back to the dux again haha).

The staff at the dux really go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and I would definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for a good breakfast spot on a...
