Used to enjoy this Grill’d on a Friday afternoon with the kids but will avoid now just so I don’t have to deal with the female manager / team leader that works there on a Friday night. So rude, unprofessional and really needs to consider a job out of customer service.
firstly, I dread calling my order in just in case she answers the phone and I have to deal with her rudeness. You try to place an order and she doesn’t let you finish a sentence before jumping onto the next thing, and just constantly talking over you. Then, If I make a customisation to my burger, the same one I do at every Grill’d, she will inform me of some obscure rule that says I can’t do that that no-one in Grill’d has ever mentioned before or since.
Then tonight i placed my order over the phone (with a normal Grill’d staff member) for pick-up, including a mini-me pack for my daughter. On the phone I mentioned that I had a voucher for the mini-me pack that she won at netball and would like to use. To which the attendant said “yeah, great just bring it in”.
when I get there and one of the grill’s staff is getting my order and isn’t sure how to process the voucher. He has to ask his manager!!!’ I knew it was going to turn into a circus when she came over.
So she informs me that I can’t use the voucher because I placed the order for take-away and I have to dine in to use it.
Ok, so I mention that i didn’t see that small print but when I asked the person on the phone that took my order they said it was ok.
But no, apparently she still couldn’t make an allowance because of the strict terms and conditions of the mini-me voucher.
Ok, well my 7yo was excited to use the voucher so I said that we’ll dine in for the mini-me pack.
The manager says , ok but I’ll have to plate up all of the other food. I said, no don’t bother as some of that food is for people at home so just leave that in the bag but my 7yo will eat the mini-me pack pretty quickly anyway.
No, she couldn’t allow that. Apparently we couldn’t have take away with the dine in food. Even though, I could have just cancelled the mini-me order on the basis of the bad advice I was given. (Although, I’m pretty certain that last rule was just made up to be difficult).
Look, I get that the terms were that we have to dine in. I thought they could have made a tiny exception considering the advice I was given over the phone. But to not let us use the voucher even after I said that we will dine in was a joke.
Anyway, last time we will go there. My advice to the female manager is to get out of the customer...
Read moreStopped for lunch - ordered two burgers, chips & onion rings. We were told it would take 8 - 9 minutes which we thought was fine. Food arrived after 15 minutes (not a problem) but, the two burgers were almost cold. The chips were warm enough to eat, however the onion rings were also STONE cold. We returned the cold burgers to the counter where they were put back on the ‘pass’ without anyone wanting to acknowledge the issue or engage in a discussion. Five minutes later one of the burgers was brought back to us in exactly the same condition as we had returned it and we were told it was apparently ‘not cold’. We were informed the second burger was being remade as this one was deemed as being ‘cold’. My husband took a bite of his returned burger which was now even colder, so again we returned it. The staff member, who appeared to be in charge, stated he would not be doing anything to help and there was nothing he could do. He was dismissive and rude. Not wanting to cause a scene we returned to our table. Eventually two new burgers were delivered which were fresh and a good temperature which was appreciated. The staff member who delivered them to us was apologetic and appeared concerned by the situation. Suffice to say, we will not be eating at...
Read moreI went to grill’d Cockburn with my best friend and our partners a couple of months ago Everyone's food came out except my best friends, eventually her meal came to the table, however it was incorrect and was not what she ordered when she explained this the waiter (who was also the manager), the waiter had the worst attitude like she did not want to be there and said that she had ordered the meal that arrived to her table. My friend began to explain to the waiter politely that she had no idea what that was so she couldn’t have ordered it, the waiter brought over the portable efpos machine and made her pay the $2 difference for her original order despite stuffing it up in the first place. The waiter was rude and so unprofessional (lady with the terrible feminazi hair) and i literally did not come back her for months afterwards because I was fuming at the whole situation! For future reference; It wouldn’t kill you to smile and be polite you really need to work on your customer service because it was appalling if I owned this place I would think twice about who I make as the Manager Based on this experience I would give 0 stars if that was an option...
