Guildford Town Bakery — Restaurant in Western Australia

The bakery is lovely and the pastries are all absolutely delicious. I personally recommend the pies, the bacon quiche and the custard horns.

The only reason that this is not a five star review is that I have had several frustrating encounters regarding the cinnamon buns. They are absolutely delicious, simply divine, but darn difficult to get a hold of.

I have even called ahead before to ask them to put some aside for me, but by the time I got there, they had sold them. The part that makes this even more frustrating is that they seem to have an overabundance of the sultana flavoured cinnamon buns. I can only assume these are significantly less popular because there are always several of them long after the plain variety has sold out.

I recently went in and at just 9:30AM they had only a single plain cinnamon bun remaining, but had more than a dozen of the sultana variety. I think they need to seriously reconsider this as it has caused frustration a number of times.

If I felt confident I could actually get what I wanted without having to be there first thing in the morning, I would come a lot more often, because, as I said earlier, everything they make is fantastic, when you can get your...

Haven't visited in a while. Thought what a great day for a couple of pies and dessert. I remembered how good it was last time. Well, well, they did not disappoint! Hubba, hubba, yummy in my tummy! We had beef kidney pies. Superb pastry texture and taste, light and fluffy. Boy, the protein was delicious,you could tell it had been cooked fresh and not sitting there for ages. Then, after a bit of shopping, we came back for a long cream doughnut and cinnamon scoll. Let me tell you, it was pure delight and with generous amounts of cream and real cinnamon in the scroll. Ahhh, food from a real bakery like I used to remember as a kid. Prices are reasonable for the quality and standard. (Lol, I have paid more for food and was never this good, even in fancy patisseries, too). Well done guys keep up the good work. We'll be back. Great food equals great experience and repeat business. Today, 25 August 2025, My husband and I ordered (1 each) Nutella donut, cinnamon bun, cheese beef pie, sourdough bread, a long black coffee and decaf cappuccino with almond milk. My husband even repeated himself saying decaf on cappuccino. Bread was ready so I went ahead to the car and my husband came after a few minutes with our coffee. We drove off. Turn out his coffee was cappuccino, things like we just let it go. But after a good 25 to 30 minutes drive home I felt something was not right. My coffee was caffeinated - food server should really pay attention to what they are doing. I have a condition that I can’t tolerate caffeine. I love the taste of coffee so I pay extra for a decaf coffee. Now, I’m having palpitations, I am uneasy and I have a headache.
