To start this off I want to add some context here. We turned up at what was clearly peak time. There were loads of staff and everyone was flat out. Having said that it was mostly just uber eats/menulog orders being fulfilled. Very few actual customers.
Anyway I ordered using their self service screens. I then proceeded to wait what I feel was an unacceptable amount of time for my order, which was 1 burger, a sticky date pudding and a cone. Another customer had waited even longer for just a shake and cone. My order was listed as "being prepared" for at least 15 minutes, and then when it was "ready" the staff couldn't find it and had to make it all again.
So was it ready or not?
For the handful of customers in there, I feel like we were basically ignored in favour of rushing out the delivery orders.
The staff were definitely busy, but maybe just for old times sake and a bit of - I don't know - customer service, maybe they ought to have at least one staff member actually looking after in store customers.
On a positive note, my burger was freshly made since they lost (or never made) the first one, so it tasted decent.
The stars are allocated for the food alone, and the terrible service (which is the fault of Hungry Jack's as a store and perhaps the manager, not the individual staff who were working hard) is what has dragged this right down to 2 stars.

I got to the window and my card declined so I said to her hold up I’ll try transfer the money if not I will go to the front, she closed the window and started to chat to her friend, I end up being able to have the money and I waved her down but still was to busy chatting, I then went to the next window and the lady was confused as I hadn’t paid yet but my food was ready, I explained the situation and the other girl giann come to the window and said she deleted the order , the manager said she could easily recover it, I said love I was trying to wave you down? She rolled her eyes and said she’s busy doing other things and it’s an inconvenience, excuse me? Why are you working in a fast food if you speak this way to customers? She rolled her eyes almost chucked the phone at me and goes THERE and slapped the window shut, I was glad to talk to someone higher up so thank you for taking the time to listen but seriously young girls and attitudes, learn customer service skills. You are being paid to serve and help us, my card declining shouldn’t be told it’s a inconvenience to her work life....
Read moreWe came when it wasn't peak and waited in the drive through with three cars. Service was so slow we reversed out and ate in. This place is filthy! I am talking long term filth from the entrance to the dining areas and the service counter. Window sills, tables, windows, doors, poles, everything so dirty. The service counter was sticky, had food and drinks spilt on it but no one noticed. We stood waiting, again not peak but they could have been doing uber or menu log. Plenty of busy staff and no one acknowledged us. No hi, we will be with you shortly, nothing. All the staff looked unhappy, not one of them looked like they wanted to be there. When our order was finally taken, again no greeting just a stressed what can I get ya. We ate amongst the the long term filth watching the stressed staff and won't be back. We will stick to Meadow Springs where it's clean. To the hungry jacks franchise please do a mystery shopper franchise inspection and see for yourself.
