We have been doing take away from this restaurant for quite a while. Their curries are normally good. But from last 3-4 times, the medium spicy curries are extra hot (not medium and not hot). I can normally handle hot but this was next level. This time curry was so liquid that all the other taste was gone, may be they tried to increase the quantity by adding water and then added chilly flakes to spice it up I called them up for giving review but I wasn't getting understood. I repeated myself few times to convey my message. The person understood at last. We are old customer of this restaurant and it has just put me off that I'd never buy medium curry from here at all. Only mild, and add chilly flakes which they do, too if asked for medium. I'm very disappointed. With how good they were 2 years back and now quality of the curry is totally changed. If someone would have asked me 2 years back, it'd have...
Read moreHome delivery everything bar one dish was stone cold I ordered butter chicken - it was nice and warm but there were some burnt bits of chicken in it which made it unpleasant The Aloo Tikki was stone cold and had some sauce and salad plus some soggy (once would have been crispy) noodles on them. They would have been nice had they been warm I really looked forward to the onion bhaji but it too was stone cold and soggy, the batter tough and it was also covered in some gloopy sauce and soggy noodles. The container is still full minus two pieces - awful Aloo kulcha - yep, cold and tough So basically I ate warm butter chicken with cold, tough breads. I can't tell you how disappointed I am. EDITED TO ADD - Was sick as a dog last night a few hours after the meal. No prizes for guessing what happened I'm sure it'd be better IN the restaurant but hey, my money is as good as a table sitter so I deserve...
Read moreAfter 7 years, it's time for us to say goodbye to Jai Ho. Ever since they ditched the UberEats drivers and started delivering themselves, it's been a total disaster. Previous 2 times, food was cold. Last night was another complete disaster.
Ordered at 5:50. Estimate 6:10-6:30. 6:50 called the store.
UberEats show delivery as 'by the restaurant' so you can't see when food leaves the store. UberEats marked delivery at 6:53. Still no food.
Food showed up at 7:05, 75-minutes after ordering, stone cold. The Uber Eats bag had a time stamp of 6:30. Was this when it left the store? It sure appears so. Cold, cold butter chicken. Heated it up.
Wife and I felt really sick an hour later.
Sorry Jai Ho, three strikes and you're out. Avoid.
*Even when we ordered ahead and picked up in store, we still had to wait an...
