Finally sitting down on my laptop to write my own review for this place after many experiences, spanning over the past year or so. Coming to this KFC used to be your standard fast food experience. However, as of recently, the drive through service has been thoroughly disappointing. There were also a couple of times that I've walked in, and the wait times for your order when sitting in are quite long.
I can specifically recall the past two times I have been there. The first time, we had ordered two meals and mountain dew freezes. We were given bottles of mountain dew and were missing a set of chips. The drink issue was resolved, but we were told to go back around the drive through to get the chips as the window guy had repeated our order to us, but didn't actually charge for a second set of chips to go with our two meals.
The second time was a few days ago and we were ordering for the entire household. This included a family feast meal, where we had specifically asked for extra gravies with the gravy that should come with the meal. The guy at the window had a hard time recording our order and when we got to the window to pay, we had to correct a few things and were given mountain dew bottles instead of freezes again; this was resolved. When we were given the food at the second window, we were missing the extra gravy. We went back through the drive through to ask for our gravies and the window guy was confused, but told us to go through to get the gravies even though he had repeated our order to us before (without the extra gravy). We got to the second window and everyone in the store seemed utterly confused. Only after a few people talking to each other about our order whilst we sat at the window, we were given our extra gravies.
Not entirely sure what's going on, whether it's new staff or something, but it's not really 'fast food' anymore at this point. You're better off going elsewhere, unless you're patient, really crave the flavours of KFC, and you don't mind going through the process of fixing your...

Went into drive through, just want a bucket of chicken, half and half. Girl on drive through said there’s a 20 minute wait on hot and spicy - we said no worries we will just have original.
Get to drive through window 1 - girl tells us to go to next window.
Get to drive through window 2, the bloke says there’s a 20 minute wait on ORIGINAL and 5 min wait on HOT AND SPICY.
I said we were just told there was no hot and spicy but original, was told the lady got it wrong. I asked if they had any chicken at all, they said 6 original left. I said we will just get the 6 and wait the 5 mins for 6 more hot and spicy.
They said that’s fine. Then they asked us to reverse BACK to the first drive through to pay as the eftpos machine isn’t working. There’s a car behind us - we can’t reverse, they say oh just drive all the way around again.
We ended up parking and just walking in. I spoke to the bloke again inside and said this is ridiculous, asked if they could compensate with at least 1 free chips. He apologised, said can’t give free food, said it will only be 2 mins. Asked me To pay, ($48 dollars), so I said fine - and I pay.
5 minutes later he comes back to say that it’s going to be another 15 minute wait. I asked why - we had already changed our order to suit what they had left or had minimal wait for, and he said that the girl on the drive through sold the chicken we had waited for.
I said I’m not waiting - have kids waiting at home, got a refund.
They did not care AT ALL. AVOID.
Cars going back and forward between the windows. It’s 12:30 no chicken, selling peoples food to those coming after others....

I don’t usually leave reviews for fast food places, but the service I got at KFC Dogswamp was so good that I had to give a special shoutout to Zain Makhdoom.
I came in during a busy evening rush, expecting the usual long wait, but Zain was absolutely on top of everything. He was managing the counter with speed, making sure everyone was taken care of, and somehow still keeping a positive attitude despite the rush. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure customers were happy.
One thing that really stood out was how efficient and friendly he was. A customer ahead of me was struggling to use the kiosk, and instead of just pointing them to the screen, Zain stepped in, helped them order, and even gave them a few recommendations. Little things like that make a huge difference.
When it was my turn to order, he greeted me with a smile, got everything right the first time, and even double-checked my order before handing it over. My food came out fresh, the fries were hot, and my burger was perfectly put together—not just thrown into the box like some places do.
Honestly, Zain made what would’ve been a standard fast-food visit into a genuinely great experience. If KFC had more employees like him, they’d be unbeatable. If you’re ever at KFC Dogswamp, hope that Zain is on shift—he’ll make sure you’re taken care of!
