Ciao Amore Cafe & Restaurant — Restaurant in Yokine

I came here often, getting take away from them every second week or so. I ordered two gnocchi for dinner today, halfway through eating my child screamed and shouted there’s a big fly in it. I took the dish back to the restaurant, the lady at the counter looked at it just said let me check then ran to the kitchen, a guy came out said our kitchen is so clean this wouldn’t happen here, he suggested it ‘dropped’ into the dish when we were eating at home LOL, so my home is so dirty with flies around then drown in your sauce and your kitchen is so squeaky clean?! I asked him if he cooked both of them together and he confirmed yes, offered me another serve but I refused, the lady said she would refund me. I waited a bit after she got off the phone with the ‘manager’, she said she would refund me the cost of one gnocchi but not two, I asked why as the kitchen staff just confirmed he cooked both serves together, she said he would have cooked two serves in ‘separate’ pans together HAHAHA. I said but I wouldn’t continue to eat the other one anymore would throw it away because of this, to which she replied and I quote “well I don’t know about that”. To this point I was speechless, I said its not even about money then just walked out the door. What pissed me off the most was not the fly, I understand these things can happen, however the attitude from both staff, blaming everything on me the customer, and NO apologies at all from the beginning to the end. You might get away with this, but you have lost a regular customer. Funny the lady actually recognised me...

My friend and I went to restaurant for dinner Saturday night. We noticed they have changed hands. I ordered chicken masala. I can honestly say it was one of the worst meals I have ever had. I’m sure it wasn’t cooked by a chefs ! The mashed potato was thick with lumps and when I put the fork it it to try a bit the lot lifted off the plate. The salad was smothered in balsamic vinegar. The masala sauce was a thick brown sauce and tasted vile. I only had a couple of mouthfuls and left the rest My friend had a Caesar salad and she left most of it too. Saying it wasn’t nice at all We decided to leave went up to the counter, told the girl about our meals and she wasn’t interested. We were the only people in the restaurant and now I can see why !! Definitely will not be going back there again Do yourself a favour steer clear...

For a italian cafe and resturant,it's lacking the quality,charging too much for food and their iced drinks that don't come up to par as it should be.

I ordered the $16 pancakes..which looked like pikelets instead and a iced matcha $5.50..so weak in taste likes it's barely there,tasted more milk than anything and tbh it looked like a mint shake instead due to it's colour.

My meal came ahead of my friend's by the time I finished my meal,my friend didn't recieve hers, a gluten free muffin, we got our drinks,still no muffin,she asked the server at the desk about her muffin,they said it's not ready yet. Another 10mins later,she went up again and they "found" said muffin already done and cooling down on counter where apparently the waitress didn't see it,though waitress picked up the cappuccino on the same...
