Oh, gather 'round, my fellow food enthusiasts, for I have a tale to spin about a Nando's escapade that left my taste buds mildly satisfied, yet my laughter muscles thoroughly exercised! Picture this: a humble Nando's joint nestled on the corner of a bustling street, its neon sign beckoning hungry souls like a lighthouse in a sea of hunger. My expectations were in a slow-cooker, simmering with anticipation, as I stepped into the realm of peri-peri goodness.
As I perused the menu, my excitement simmered slightly at the sight of your standard fare – chicken, sides, and sauces that could rival a rainbow in terms of variety. I settled on the classic combo of a half chicken with a side of fries and a lukewarm sense of optimism. Little did I know, the real star of this culinary comedy was about to make her entrance.
And then, there she was – Sasha. A server with a smile that could melt butter, and a wit sharper than the chef's knife slicing through a chicken breast. Sasha was a master of multitasking; she navigated the dining area like a seasoned sailor, effortlessly gliding between tables and taking orders with the finesse of a conductor leading a symphony of hunger and happiness.
But let us not forget the food. The half chicken arrived, glistening under the restaurant's lights as if daring me to take a bite. I indulged, and while the flavor was a bit like a roller coaster with a few too many plateaus, it was Sasha's vivacious commentary that turned each bite into a delightful twist. "A bit cheeky on the spices, isn't it?" she quipped as I attempted to maintain my dignity while tears streamed down my cheeks.
The fries, though less thrilling than a Shakespearean tragedy, still played a solid supporting role in this culinary theatrical. And it was Sasha, dear Sasha, who turned the mundane into mirth. "Ah, our fries – the unsung heroes of carb consumption. They've faced more fryer oil than most of us face life's challenges!"
As I approached the end of my meal, Sasha's exuberance reached its crescendo. With a wink and a flourish, she presented the dessert menu as if unveiling a treasure map. "And now, dear diner, comes the finale – where sweet dreams and expanding waistlines collide!" The dessert, a sponge cake that bore an uncanny resemblance to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, elicited a chuckle from me that echoed off the walls.
In the end, it wasn't the food that left an impression as much as it was Sasha's comedic genius. Her ability to elevate the ordinary, sprinkle humor into the mundane, and turn an otherwise mediocre meal into a side-splitting stand-up routine was nothing short of extraordinary. So, while the culinary adventure at Nando's might not have reached Michelin star heights, it did introduce me to a shining star named Sasha – a server whose laughter was as infectious as it was deliciously satisfying.
In conclusion, if you're seeking a dining experience where the food is a comedy and the employee named Sasha is the headliner, then this particular Nando's is your stage. Just remember to bring your appetite for laughter, and maybe a side of extra peri-peri sauce – you'll need it to fuel the bouts of uncontrollable giggles Sasha will...
Read moreIt’s on you if you’re coming to this nandos and expect to leave happy Take this as a warning!!!!!
I dined there the same night as one of the previous reviews here. 6 tables in the whole dining area, not one had food. It only happened as well after someone complained after waiting 1 hour, it seemed they were unaware about our orders by using the table QR code so these knuckleheads who are getting paid to do nothing apparently didn’t find it concerning that there was 6 tables occupied with people what “having a chat”? Like hello… We all asked for refunds which from the server who does nothing says it isn’t possible as it’s online order even when you’re in the store placing the order, we were forced to sit there and wait or leave without our money or food, had a not spend $70 I would of walked
After an hour of waiting for myself and trying to avoid the cockroaches roaming around half of my order came and yes served with the chips that had been sitting under the lamp for the past 45 mins. When I ask the server if the chips are cold he said idk try them. No sorry no nothing. My other half of order was missing I asked again for it told oh it’s not showing up which I just said put it in a takeway box cause I wanna leave this place asap and never enter again.
I warned 2 other tables and told another customers not to order due to the current situation which they listened and left without ordering smart honestly
If anyone reads all this and still goes, you’re pretty brave and definitely have your phone on full charge so you can entertain yourself in the meantime, actually good time to watch all 10 seasons of friends if you haven’t already.
Staff working on Wednesday night 22nd of November from 7pm onwards, do better! From lack of remorse for your own errors to the other staff doing nothing but staring at the order screen and still miss orders, umm maybe wipe down a table or is the leftover bones for the cockroaches ?
Management if you existed cause yes I asked to speak with you but apparently there was none on duty, I think you need to look into this and clearly by all the reviews clearly so.
Plus the cockroaches seriously is anyone not reporting this??!? Like thank you for this magical ending which lead to my boycott of nandos cause this experience was so mind blowing that I have now reach a “Karen” level I didn’t know I was capable of.
Y’all need to humble yourself making me wait for a burnt chicken who drier that beef jerky to the cold wet chips served.
Thank you for reading this and to the lovely cockroaches I met that night please have more babies and take down...
Read moreThey do have their faults - one time they brought me the wrong order and apologized over it however I accepted it and there are waits for example chicken cooking taking about 30 minutes but I think the waits are worth it I really do - the staff are good and very customer oriented and the food is good despite the delays, delivery of wrong orders at times - they truly are a good place to eat and I'd rather have a good restaurant that brings the wrong order occasionally have waits but has good quality food and staff who are customer oriented and do their jobs - Nandos you are good and you do a good job that's why I like coming here.
Yesterday - with the half a chicken I wanted brought me two wings - once again they have their faults - wait was okay of 10 minutes wasn't in a hurry, however a good resturant and I would rather have that wait and get the meal cooked properly than they rush it and it's not cooked properly.
The table I sat at the plates didn't get collected but you can't blame them I said that I would sit there and it didn't bother me as some people would kick up a hiss about it - staff can't be everywhere every minute of the day. Nandos you do well very and I like coming to this place very much despite some of their faults..
I was there just recently - the chicken was delayed - they said there will be a delay with the chicken but I said "That's what I'd expect of you people" - once again delays at times but a good restuarant - but I'm always patient with them - Nandos Cockburn you do it again delays but very good I'd rather put up with this establishment because that's what they are just very...
