It was the worst experience at any Nando so far. I went in with the family on the 6th of Feb at 8.50 pm and saw the chairs placed on the tables upside down. Some customers were having food at two tables and the rest was closed. I asked if we could dine in too, and the big Caucasian female (I believe she was the duty manager) bluntly said "No". I asked, "Why not", as it wasn't even 9 o'clock and was still an hour before the store closed. I told her that we were a small family and travelled a fair bit of distance just to have food at their restaurant. She didn't seem happy and reluctantly allowed us to dine in with the condition that we finish by 9.45 pm. That was the weirdest thing I had heard and said, "Yeah sure if you serve us in time, we shouldn't be long". A part of me felt disgusted and wanted to leave but I had kids with me and didn't want them to suffer just because someone had a bad attitude. The Asian female standing behind the serving counter wasn't any better and displayed the saddest face I had seen in ages. Oh well, the full order arrived in almost 20mins and we were out before 9.45 pm. The young Indian guy and the girl who served the food were kind and smiled, which was quite comforting in that stressful moment. Well, I only partially blame the staff as they may have had a busy day but the owners are to be blamed equally for not putting enough staff on in a location like Victoria Park. I think because they have made so much money over the years, it has gone to their head and they don't seem to care enough about customer experience anymore. I wouldn't recommend going there until they are ready for business with some positivity...
Read moreA friend and I had a dream 5 years ago, so unfathomable, so ungraspable, so weirdly erotic, to order $172 worth of Nando’s BBQ ribs. And tonight, Nandos Victoria Park made that happen. We walked into the restaurant and placed our order. Our server, Aleisha looked absolutely stunned at our request. She asked us, “Is that all”.. like this was some sick game. Thankfully, we were there to play. We sat in our booth and patiently waited for our ribs to arrive and reminisced on the years we waited to make this dream reality. We talked about how far we have came, from 2 lowly deli boys slicing meat during a pandemic, to 2 MEN, spending an unnecessary amount of money on BBQ wings. The first 50 wings arrived and we gazed upon them in awe. The next 62 wings arrived and we could not believe our eyes. Our dream was reality. The first 25 ribs went down smoothly, but as soon as I touched the second plate it was all down hill. I felt like Bono the way I had vertigo. I looked at my friend in defeat, and we both unfortunately decided to call it quits. Thankfully, our waitress Aleisha has brought us takeaway contained so we could take our remains with us. To the Victoria Park team, I sincerely thank you, and appreciate your time and...
Read moreI visited this Nando’s yesterday and placed my order on the app. My partner’s food arrived 10 mins later no issues, albeit cold. 5 mins later, the waiter informed me that they had no ribs and I agreed to accept additional tenders. 10 mins later my food is delivered to another table next to me, who argue that they did not order that dish and instead another dish. They then start to eat that dish until 5 mins later, the waiter brings another plate of food and takes the first one saying it’s not theirs. She then proceeds to take it back into the kitchen and bring it to my table as my dish - with eaten bones and half eaten pieces of chicken. I was incredulous and told her - she continued to deny it until I went up to the counter and she responded by throwing the food in the bin. When I asked how long for them to remake a half chicken and 4 tenders - they told me 30 mins because they were so busy. There were 4 tables in the restaurant with 7 people including me. Absolutely shocking service - I am still waiting for my refund which apparently customer service have to action as I ordered via the app. I would recommend you avoid this branch at all costs until they sort their...
