I cannot stop raving about this place. It's been around forever and I just haven't found the time to go and I realise now what ive been missing out on. We've been back multiple times since. Prepare for my ramble of how awesome this spot is. Delicious coffee. Awesome, inclusive service. Funky decor. Sustainably mindful gifts and homewares. Then freaking awesome (like holy moly awesome) food. We finally came here on a whim as they are open during those awful hours when noone else is (THANKYOU). Were seated and met with a little card explaining their hiring policy (!!!!) So clever as this initiated our brains to allow for some extra time for the servers. Plus they were packed full. Plus plus they provided table service!??!! Menu was packed with choice and was easy to read (yet still only one page). They had run out of a few things (didn't matter) and we gazed at other customers dishes when it came out and vowed to come back and try them. Lots of dishes and some more suited for breakfast and some for lunch (but available all day). My partner honed on the steak sandwich and I got the gnocchi. Our coffee was perfect and everything came out with good timing. The food was immaculately presented. Everything on the plate was there for a purpose in both presentation and flavour. And my god they were beautiful. Our first bites we stared at each with a "this is it" look. A cafe that actually gave a sh***. My gnocchi was phenomenal. Every bite as good as the last and a perfect size to fill me without stuffing me full. The contemporary selection of each flavour was unlike anything I've eaten and proves that good food exists. I personally would have forgone the egg but have kept that in mind for next time! The steak sandwich was enormous and the chips (my god the chips!) were a textbook example of what a crispy, perfectly seasoned house chip should be. The sandwich was packed with meat, pickles and slaw and this sauce (gravy?) Was so deliciously crafted and well seasoned. I don't even like steak sandwiches and I've had cravings for this one since. It was never soggy but so moist and the contrast of textures and ugh! I could ramble on forever. Since, we have been back to try the house cured salmon (oh my good god), the French toast donuts (decadent, perfectly balanced and just downright heavenly), as well as the focaccia with avo (like eating a deliciously crafted pizza). We've had the steak sandwich multiple times and just wow. Everytime we've been it's phenomenal. Service is flawless. Coffee is awesome. I wish everything for this cafe so I can keep coming back!!!

We had the mushroom avo focaccia and french toast doughnut. Both was good but not super good that I would come back, which is a shame because I really like the atmosphere, service and that you give people with disabilities a place to work. I felt like something is missing on the focaccia. The French toast was just full of sugar. The doughnut was coated in sugar, rhubarb was like in syrup and even the hazelnut was caramelised. Way too much sugar for me. Not everything needs sugar. Especially the contrast between sugar and something without sugar/sour would make it perfect in my opinion. My friend said also he usually loves rhubarb, but it didn't have the sour taste it usually has. It's a bit pricey and I was wondering why we paid more than on the menu written... Well I found out in the reviews that there is a surcharge for dine in. I did not see anything written in the cafe. This needs to be clearly noted or just make your meals more expensive, because that's definitely not fair to suddenly charge more at the counter after eating without clearly mentioning the surcharge! Update second visit: The start was not as great. There is a sign, please wait to be seated, but no one was there caring about waiting people. I waited till I was the next one at the counter and my question about dining in seemed overrated. So I went to a table myself, but no menu there, so I waited again at the counter to get a menu. Felt a bit strange, and unorganised. Anyway, the food was delicious. I had the pan fried gnocchi with feta on kale and pesto today. It tasted super fresh and healthy. The feta was so good to it and the seeds and a few salt flakes made it a very nice meal. Though the sticky chai was a bit too bland for me.

The positives are the serving sizes are very generous. Meals have a quirky slant to them. Not your run of the mill breaky / lunch fair. The cafe supports a lot of local businesses by selling their products such as soaps, candles, spice mixes and condiments. I purchased some ?bee wax food wraps and think they're great. Parents of small kids will appreciate the play area. They use Bonsoy milk (Vitasoy cafe = 👎) and the coffee is pretty smooth which thankfully is my preference. Downsides are acoustics aren't great so can get a little noisy when its busy and boy it's popular at times, meals are a little pricey, on one occassion my latte wasnt warm enough, I don't like hot hot coffee but I like it warm enough that after ten minutes it's still warm enough to be enjoyed. Took a few visits to get a genuine smile from one employee. And I need to ask if they're is a customer bathroom available. Will I go back? Yes. The meals are tasty, service time is decent and the coffee good. Satisfied customer. Plus there is plenty of nearby parking.

(My review) My partner and I just left Our Ruby Girl after dining there for brunch and we were blown away by the food, service and team they have there.

We ordered the gnocchi and the “build your own breakky” meals. Both dishes tasted amazing! You can taste the freshness of the ingredients used. The cafe was very busy so food took a little longer but the team gave us updates and communicated this to us. We did not mind as we were chatting anyway and for any diners who are particularly impatient reading this, restaurants get busy
if it’s busy it means food will take longer. Not rocket science.

We also observed how happy and cheerful staff looked working there. Typically I see cafe staff members very stressed and moody at other places running around like manic ants. Here, everyone was very efficient, like a well-oiled machined. This is a great indicator to us that: Staff have been trained exceptionally well The leadership team are creating a positive working environment for staff members Staff get along and work together like a team

Will certainly be visiting again for the sixth, seventh, eighth time. Thanks for having us!

(My partner’s review) “As a HR professional, it is great to see businesses promoting the objectives around Equal Opportunity Employment. It was a pleasure to dine here and I will certainly dine...
