So LOVED the meal here( hats off to the Chef!!! We ordered various plates to share: Beef Cigars, Slider Combo, Trio of dips, Prawns and Watermelon Salad, Plain Garlic Bread and Cheesy Garlic Bread. If I were to come again I would order everything again and get extra Watermelon Salad, exchange the Beef Cigar for Tempura Prawn and exchange the plain Garlic for Cheesy Garlic. Our best choice was the Prawn and Watermelon Salad. We all had never had never tasted this before...it was so delicious. The food was excellent for our budget. It probably could've fed 5 people. The cost came to $98.30 and we couldn't eat the rest of our food but were able to take it home. We paid to see the band, and they were Primo too. What I didn't like: it was too small a venue and was mainly standing only(no room to put our wine bottles or glasses on) We stayed all night by bar. Later on the Restaurant was opened for event BUT only a handful of people sat in there. Perhaps there could be a screen to watch the band could be an idea? The bar staff were very friendly, patient and courteous to all their patrons. I noticed there was a person in a wheelchair and throughout the night he could only hear the band. My advice next time if you are going to watch any band here, is be one of the first to arrive to get a good position.

Husband, son and I went to Mount Henry Tavern in the evening to watch a T20 cricket game, so we were there for a few hours. It was comfortable seating and atmosphere. Service was lovely. Generous portions for food. I had the entree lemon pepper calamari which I found very filling - there is an option to add chips. Cooked nicely with light crispy batter. My husband couldn't finish his nasi goreng. My son had the kid's cheeseburger - the chef happily added salad to the burger and still included a generous portion of chips. My son got 2 scoops of ice cream (in a waffle cone) - an extra 1 scoop. Very good value for a kid's meal!

Portion sizes are very generous. Food very tasty. Relaxed, family friendly atmosphere. We had the lamb shanks, chicken parmi, burger, tasting plate, and some kids meals (spaghetti, grilled fish n chips) and the lemon meringue pie. All were great except the kid's steak n chips (was on the dry side) and the meringue (very very sweet). They have a different special for each day of the week. The chicken parmi specials (Tuesday) have been consistently good.

Restaurant Review: Mount Henry Tavern

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently had the pleasure of hosting a birthday celebration for a dear friend at the Mount Henry Tavern, and I cannot express enough how impressed I was with the entire experience. From the moment we made our booking to the end of the evening, the service was nothing short of impeccable.

The staff at Mount Henry Tavern were incredibly friendly and welcoming, ensuring that every detail was taken care of for our large group of 40 guests. It can often be a challenge for restaurants to accommodate such a sizable booking, but the team handled everything with ease and professionalism. Their attentiveness and dedication to providing an enjoyable experience truly stood out.

Throughout the evening, the vibrant energy of the staff added to the celebratory atmosphere. They were always on hand to assist, making sure that our needs were met without being intrusive. Their positive attitude and genuine friendliness made our gathering feel special and memorable.

As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! Every dish was presented beautifully and enjoyed by all. There were no issues with orders or timing, which can sometimes be a concern with larger groups, but everything flowed smoothly. Each plate that came out was a testament to the kitchen's commitment to quality and flavor.

I wholeheartedly recommend the Mount Henry Tavern for any group celebrations or simply a night out. The combination of their outstanding service, delectable food, and warm ambiance ensures a fantastic dining experience. Thank you to the entire team for making our evening so remarkable—you truly made the birthday celebration...

This place is bad all round. I should have looked at the reviews before going. You can see they don’t care as they don’t even reply or try to answer reviews. Firstly the sports bar sinks of smoke, is very loud with music, ads, tv and racing on. Last night they even had an mc calling bingo or raffle out. Secondly most the staff are just ok, they do there job but look and sound like they don’t really want to be there and they not friendly or polite. The manager must be lazy, I went onto their website which said they had a special $13 for a steak sandwich and chips for lunch and dinner. When I went to order all they said that it was last weeks special. I told them it was on their website at 10.30 this morning and all they said was tough luck it’s not on there now. How can you advertise something that day and then change it later that day. It just show you how lazy and bad the management are. Thirdly we ended up ordering a few meals. The quality is below average. I’m sure the burger patty is frozen out of the packet, the beef curry was a heap of source with a small amount shredded beef and 3 spoons of rice. It wouldn’t surprise me if the beef was made from left over Sunday roast have every Sunday. The place is not busy only 1/4 full mostly old retired people and older single men in their 50’s. Food comes out slow and we had one persons meal come out 20min after everyone else got their meals and had finish eating. One of the worse taverns around perth. Since they changed owners this place had gone down hill. It needs a good clean and update with better...

A delightful Christmas Eve spent with my family of 7 in the Rainbow Room. For the first time EVER - away from the usual Christmas Day preparation, cooking, serving and the aftermath, I decided that I would give the local tavern a try-out after discovering that they were promoting a special Christmas menu at a very reasonable price. What a fantastic evening enjoyed to the utmost, with tinsel and crackers decorating the table and the three delightful and attentive staff attending to our every need. Sarah, Zoe and the other fantastic, animated, young lady were exceptional in their communication and are to be congratulated for their professionalism and attention. Thank you ladies. THE FOOD - well, what a pleasant surprise! A choice of at least 3 different menus for every category. The presentation, generous servings and taste were ‘top-shelf’ to say the least and compliments in abundance must go to the creative and outstanding chef and staff. Compliments also must go the excellent, efficient bar staff, who performed their duties in such a pleasant and helpful manner. Thank you in spades to everyone. Overall, a fabulous and festive atmosphere was felt by all of my family members and the general consensus was that we WILL be booking again for next year. Well done to the staff and management. Your star is shining bright! Thank you. Merry Christmas to one and all and have a very...
