I have eaten here many times and have followed their evolution throughout the years. First, lets start with what I enjoyed about the establishment, the business has been here for the better part of a decade or more. They're doing something right because they're still in business. The food is as advertised, it's Vietnamese. Whether intentional or not, they lean towards a northern minimalist style of cuisine with their ingredients. Value for money is now a big factor in our current climate and rates well in comparison of all western fast foods, so that's a great start. Now lets review what can be improved. They use alot, I mean alot! of msg! This practice must stop! alternatively, they should warn people of their practice prior to purchase. This information will prevent hours of discomfort to many of us. They also have adopted a US style billing system. The menu will state an item price, then they will add GST to the final price. THIS PRACTICE MUST STOP! I do not mind paying what ever is being asked once I review & select it. Then when they slap GST on top of the advertised price, I feel cheated, scammed & all out RAGE at this underhanded tactic. Out of principle, I prefer to give my money to a business who does not leave me...

Worst experience ever! Review mentioned it's nice place for dinner - decided to try - was totally disappointed. When we arrived, about 4-5 tables were dirty - food on the floor and dirty dishes. Not that they are busy -the place is empty but nobody bothered to clean the table. I asked to clean our table. Menu is horrible - needs to write the ingredients, as thelady at cash counter barely speaks English - she can't help you. I ordered braised veg with oyster (!!!) mushroom - got some overcooked brown mush with shiitake mushroom (obviously 1 cut into 4 pieces). Husband had veg pho soup - with pieces of meat (hopefully soy) - that's why you need ingredients on the menu , as the waitress doesn't speak English. Yeah, food arrived quickly, but I constantly heard the beeping of microwave, which indicates that food wasn't fresh ( we were the only one in the "restaurant") There is place literally next door bustling with people - obviously way better, cleaner and more delicious than this...

Heard great things about the food so thought we would give it a try. Went to order at the counter as a dine in customer and was instructed to use the QR code stuck to the table. I am not a fan of these but was keen to order some lunch so figured why not. The website only allows certain meals to be ordered as "dine in" one meal we wanted was take away only (no idea what the difference is) and you couldn't order dine in and a "take away" meal. We then tried to reset the order but each time we tried it wouldn't work. Attempted to order at the counter again but no one came out to serve so we gave up and went elsewhere. These QR codes are great when they work but there should always be an option to order in person when dining in. I am assuming they also no longer accept cash. Not sure what they expect people to do if they don't own a phone or debit card either. Won't be returning...

The place was empty, so not busy, but tables still had dirty dishes and food remains strewn everywhere. i should left after seeing this but due to the high ratings i thought i'd give it a chance. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude, she yelled at me because I called the order by name and not the order number. While eating the pho I noticed something oddly black in my soup, I fished it out it was a dead fly. To my horror, I told the lady, she just looked at me annoyed and asked if i wanted another dish. Summary: the place was filthy with food remains, used dishes, sticky tables and stains, there were flies everywhere including in the pho. the lady behind the counter was extremely rude, and i could hear the other person out the back coughing the whole time.

Papa Sweet Tooth is a cozy and casual Vietnamese restaurant in Victoria Park, Perth. The menu offers a variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes. The roast pork pho and beef pho are especially delicious, with tender meat, rich broth, and fresh herbs. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. I like that customer can order either a big or small portion bowl. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed but the restaurant is small and a bit old. Papa Sweet Tooth is a great place to enjoy authentic Vietnamese food with family and friends.
