First and last time here today. Accidentally ordered my takeaway from the Northbridge centre and then came here to pick up my order - oops! Server initially kindly offered to take my order at the EVP restaurant. I very specifically stated I wanted my two orders "ON RICE".
Guess he didn't hear in a jam packed, loud and noisy restaurant operating at peak hour lunch time - who would have known! Then 15 mins later called me to pick up my order with two giant cartons - I said, "Uhhh is this order the meal on rice?"
This is the shocking part - the place was filling up and there were several people waiting with me, either to get into the restaurant or in line for their takeaway. The server screamed at me, "ITS YOUR FAULT YOU DIDN'T SAY ON RICE!!!!!!! YOU NEVER SAID ON RICE!!!!!! NOW I HAVE TO MAKE THE WHOLE THING AGAIN!!! YOU SEE THIS?? HUH??? THIS IS ALL THE DUCK YOU NOW WASTED" It felt like I was a two year old being spoken to. There was no customer service, no respect. I wasn't rude or being difficult at all.
I didn't know what to say, my husband was expecting lunch at home - but I never felt so humiliated in my entire life. Anyway I sat down and waited for the correct meal and managed to get the order filled, but not before the server shoving the food at me and screaming "BYE" as I hastily rushed out the door.
The duck and rice was greasy, cold and gave both my husband and I gastroenteritis for the rest of the day after we ate it (nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea).

Service Experience: 1/5 Unfortunately, the service significantly detracted from what should have been a pleasant dining experience. About 2 minutes after sitting down, I realized I needed my receipt and politely asked the manager for it. Instead of simply providing the receipt, I was told "next time tell me early" - a response that felt unnecessarily dismissive and unprofessional.
Requesting a receipt is a basic customer right, and there shouldn't be arbitrary timeframes or conditions attached to such a reasonable request. The manager's attitude made me feel unwelcome for asking for standard documentation that any customer is entitled to receive.
Overall Experience: 3/5 While I'd recommend this place for the food quality, potential diners should be prepared for subpar customer service. I hope management takes this feedback constructively and works on improving their approach to basic customer requests.

Be forewarned, as many recent reviews concur my opinion that the customer service leaves much to be desired, as this establishment has been cited for the lack of courtesy in serving its patrons.
Junior Staff gave the wrong dish, manager came with the correct dish and made rude remark didn’t serve the right meal while actually holding onto the dish ordered.
Was served a smaller dish by junior waiter with no explanation accompanying the delivery while actual dish was Seafood fried noodle. This dish looked like the right one, just due to having prawns but it isn’t right.
Manager said “ 喂,哥仔,你喺度食緊乜野呀” while looking at us patron eating. He handled the situation with bewilderment and walked away without addressing the issue. He went off to reprimand the junior staff instead of addressing their poor service.
Paid full price of the correct dish despite the mistake of the restaurant. Even though the dish served portion doesn’t look $18.50
This experience left a bitter taste, and I hope this place will make improvements...
