sorry the photos are of half eaten food I was too keen to get into it!! I got the lamb rogan josh and the cheese naan through menulog and I am so full and happy, the container came full to the brim with curry, the sauce has a lovely flavour with thicker consistency, good meat to sauce ratio too (I'm always sad about how some restaurants don't put enough meat so this is fantastic for me) came so hot too even though it was delivered. they must have started working on the order as soon as they received it because I got the food only about 20min after I sent the order, so quick! the naan was really soft and the cheese added good flavour. good value too! so so happy about this fuss free wholesome home dinner from a local restaurant, thank you samrat!

update: I've been ordering from Samrat through uber eats for over a year now and it's been so consistent every time!! pictured is the Sabzi Bahar (left) and Kadhai Panner (right) both of which had beautiful thick spicy sauce, great vegetarian options!! my favourite is the Kadhai Paneer, the cottage cheese blocks are just divine 🤤

5th picture: Dahl masala (top) 10/10 gorgeous simple chickpea spices and flavours!! pumpkin masala (bottom) has a nice spicy level at mild and has beautiful potato pieces as well

6th picture: mushroom masala (top) good flavour! palak paneer (bottom) I lovee how this place does cottage cheese so much, I feel like you can't go wrong! so flavoursome with thick spinach sauce 💞

7th picture: new fave fish malabari curry (top), how have I slept on this so hard!! I'm going to be trying more fish curries from here for sure! and pumpkin masala amazing as always (bottom)

8th+9th picture: Beef curry (top) and lamb rogan josh (bottom) both sauces are amazing quality as usual! however I found the beef to be a bit tough in texture compared to the melty lamb this time, the kuchumber salad is incredibly fresh and crunchy with light refreshing salad dressing, the red onions have just the right flavour and not too potent❤️

Sadly revising my original review which I will leave below. Food remains excellent but customer service has tanked. On my previous visit the staff were lying about wait times and got our order wrong but at least they remedied with a free dish. Last night I arrived five minutes after the time they specified. The staff member took my name, checked some bags in hotbox, then said my food wasn’t ready. I sat for ten minutes to wait. He checked in with me once. Uber eats? I said no, takeaway. I said if they hadn’t started my food yet to come and tell me, so i could pop out and do an errand. Instead, he busied himself with the few in store customers. I waited. Finally another guy came, rustled through the hotbox after checking my name. My food had been in there all along! They were apologetic but did not offer a remedy. Such poor service and I let them know at the time! We will give them one last chance only because the food is so good. Please cherish your customers, Samrat, we don’t have to support your business!

My experience at samrat indian restaurant was horrible. We went there on Friday night with a groupon voucher. Although it was not very busy night for them but still waiter took decades to take our order. After 45 mins, we received our entree it was 2 piece onion bhaji And 2 piece of samosas. But we only ordered onion bhaji not samosas. Waiter put that on our table and left us without any explanation. We ignored him and don't want to spoil our evening. Maybe it was not in our control, we waited for mains for an hour and half. Mains were goat curry which was fine but other dish malai kofta was really pathetic it was bland with no taste in it. Moreover, service was very poor. Waiter was very rude we have to go to the counter every time in between our meals to get our drinks, water or napkins. He also forgot our glass of wine. After having few bits we just to leave asap. We went to the counter and complained about food and service. But waiter showed us his aggressive and rude behavior. And said we have to come every time to the counter if we need anything during our meals. He raised his voice and told me to not come next time to samrat indian restaurant.
