I'm usually an adventurous person and don't like eating the same thing too often, but I could eat ohnamiya every day. It's just simple and easy and tasty. I get vegetable Udon and my boyfriend gets chicken katsu curry, it costs us less than $25 together and we enjoy it every single time. Some of my super fussy friends join us every now and then and still enjoy their entire meal. If I'm having a had bad I slurp down than Udon and instantly feel better. Prawn katsu rolls are also incredible. It's my favourite place and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, simple, cheap, casual dinner. Sometimes I feel like they're a bit understaffed but they still manage to provide excellent friendly service (maybe just a note to management to roster an extra on so that they don't have to go a million miles an hour for the entire shift because sometimes I feel bad for them, they...
Read moreI understand that the price of groceries and essentials have increased lately but the amount of sesame chicken I received in my karagge DELUXE box was ridiculous. 3 pieces thinly sliced and 2 shredded pieces. The standards and quality and amount has definitely deteriorated since a few years back. Used to be one of my go to for Japanese but not anymore. Very disappointed.
May 2023- My Mum wanted to come here to eat so I thought would give them a try again after nearly 7 months. Extremely inconsistent food, when we dined in the karagge was crispy and the serving size wasn’t too bad this time so I ordered a large take away karagge main the next day and as you can see in the photo it hardly has any batter and the serving size is once again to a minimum. I had to separate the pieces to take the photo. For $12.90! Definitely my last time at...
Read moreLong time customer that finally going to give a verdict. Used to visit the one in applecross. We ordered the deluxe bento set plus rice. Karage chicken and mixed seafood katsu. Taste still very close to what it used to be. Most of the ingredients are fresh and prepared well. Can't fault anything . Chicken is tender and crispy, seafood is also well cooked and tender. Overall is a very good place to go to if you want an authentic japanese bento. They have a lot of other options but the most popular one is the deluxe bento. For dessert we ordered the matcha panacotta. Its always nice and light perfect for the end of the meal. One thing to mention is the service can be improved like the wait time, but still highly recommended to go and...
