Shikara Indian Restaurant Mindarie — Restaurant in Western Australia

Upon arrival our group of 6 enquired about the $50 special for 2 and ordered accordingly. Later on we were advised that the special wasnt included by a different member of staff. When the first staff member was questioned in front of us she denied it and was smirking the whole time. The whole conversation made us feel quite awkward. The manager then came over and said the tills dont allow him to run the special however he will let is have the first round of drinks for free. We accepted this and proceeded with our night. Upon paying the bill non of the drinks were removed and there was also another one on the receipt that no one had ordered. I asked the staff member to remove them. When the receipt was reprinted it came down $4. I laughed at this as did the staff member (because it was rediculous) before returning to the till to reprint and the bill which then came down $10... i stood and tried to explain for a third time and was getting knowhere. The lady was discretely trying to screw up the first 2 receipts so i grabbed them to compare all 3. They made absoloutely no sense In the end i payed the bill at $10 less when in total it should have been $48 less. Not only was this frustrating it was more so the behaviour of the staff. I felt like their behaviour was really sneaky and they were acting like they couldnt understand me..

Table service was rubbish. No smiles or manners. Drinks and food were dumped on one end of the table and we had to hand them to correct person. My curry was awful. Madras usually has a kick but this was milder than a korma and the chicken was dry.

I will never eat there again and would not recommend to anyone. Poor customer service is an...

Well having to wait 45 minutes for any food to come out was ridiculous and being told it was coming out soon we ordered 4 dishes plus nann bread arrived at 7ish put in dirty naughty corner with the cobwebs that was first sign that it was not going to be a good night and it was my 65th birthday When I asked where the toilets were sign number 2 the front desk area was a mess blue buckets 🪣 piled high floor was wet was drinks and I am walking with a walking stick great compo case !!! I hate to think what the kitchen looked liked????? Oh the toilets were outside near the lift !!!!!! By now it’s getting onto 9ish we had our one dish sizzling tandoori very nice but they could have given us some sauce to go with the shesk kebab we still hadn’t got any bread!!! We asked when the food coming answer soon I said to my son pay for what we have had and let’s go !!!! So the meal cost about $50. With drinks and then we proceeded to KFC and we were very lucky served in least than 5 minutes So that’s how my 65th birthday went down and I will never go near that restaurant again totally disgusting and disgraceful and disorganised they need to clean it from top to bottom and reorganised there KITCHEN TRULY UNBELIEVABLE OTHER PEOPLE WERE WALKING OUT AS WELL I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ how to do less than one star because they don’t deserve...

It kills me to write this review as we have been coming for years.( So I won’t destroy star rating)

We decided to stop coming due to some kid throwing up and the table had minimal cleaning before the next customer sat down..

Staff are always good to us as regulars but at times it gets quite tense from the kitchen staff as we do try and get in and get out.

We tried again tonight after hearing they changed the stinky carpet and the time for waiting had changed quite considerably as Uber drivers were placed secondary instead us eat in customers.

We will never question the food it’s always 5 star.. but waiting 2 hours to finish our main meal is just far too long.

We even try to order as soon as we sit down to minimise the wait times but they refuse to take our order till after 10/15 minutes..

Last time we were told to “ split our group into two” if we want to order earlier.

Tonight we arrived at 5.45 and we did not get our mains at 8pm on a Tuesday night.

Love the staff, love the food and love the non smelly carpet..

But please...
