Union Kitchen — Restaurant in Western Australia

Ordered big breakfast and not happy that you cannot swap the beans to something else but you can remove it for the same price. I’ve been to another cafe ie. Cafe Elixir, service is amazing and food is cheaper and they let you swap stuff if you’re allergic to it.

Anyway, you came to our table twice. First, to tell us that if we said it’s due to allergy you would’ve have agreed to change the beans to something else. I was going to remove my review but then you came 2nd time and told us to take our review down. We felt like we were harassed while we were eating our breakfast peacefully every time you come to our table. Not sure if you also noticed because we felt like we were watched, but we did not finish our meal.

We don’t get to visit union kitchen often as with 5 of us 200$ on breakfast is a little hard for us to do on a regular basis but as a treat or like our recent visit for our daughters 17th birthday breakfast it’s always a great experience. Food is yummy and most meals are reasonably priced some I feel are a little high like 17$ for fried egg on toast is a little excessive I feel maybe for that price it could come with a standard coffee. It’s always very busy especially for breakfast so I recommend popping on line to book a reservation we always do so we are guaranteed a table. The staff are great and very friendly and it’s a great atmosphere. The only small downside is with it being a popular venue be prepared to wait a while for your food. And if you aren’t someone who can then this place may not be for you. We waited a little over 30 mins for our food and everytime we’ve visited for breakfast it’s always been a wait. This place never fails to bring it on all fronts and today's visit was no exception! "The Swinging Rooster" was excellently put together and equally as moreish with the bbq elements of the skewer pairing excellently with the satay sauce, complimented also by the perfectly textured (my opinion anyway haha) nasi goreng rice 👌which itself had lil cruchy bits (from the pan/wok, definitely not overcooked) I was seriously impressed by the dish overall, flavour pallete, presentation, portion size 👌good meal for one person on their own and equally, substantial for two as a nice afternoon nibble with one of this crew's Superbly crafted cocktails, their Margaritas and Strawberry Daquiris are bang on for a sunny afternoon/ sunset session!
