I am sorry to have to post this we went to my local for mothers day late in the day (1.15pm) was able to attain a table as the busy time was over... ralfph was great and gave us table 8 we ordered oysters kilpatrick (3) too much bbq sauce no bacon possibly ham (not cooked down made it "mash". ) this arrived 1st even though we also ordered garlic bread for 2. scotch fillet rare to med, (metioned 3 times as the staff could not order on computer but assured would advice cook) pizza with a few extra toppings.. We then waited for the garlic bread , but my steak arrived next!! plate passed to me over table TOO HOT, steak sadly over cooked to atleast medium , I took 1/2 home to my dog ..was to get salad that came later. Just lettuce of sorts 1 piece of tomatoe and a an onion . no caps or cucumber or carrot. waited for the arrival of garlic bread and pizza No cutlery given for my steak except knife(no serviettes or forks etc) My husband left 4 pieces of pizza (SAD) garlic bread-- end of stick tooooooo thick. please/ I realize that the burrendah would have been overly busy, but surely change of staff 1/2 way through or better management would have allowed our meal to have been atleast a little bit like what we expect when we go there. our bill was around $130 with drinks, will not return at this point I am not happy to post this but I feel it needs to be said. when I tried to get staff attention they were not interested(I think I...

This place is been heading downhill for a while now. I've eaten here many times in the past and the last three visit's have been a let down. I always order the best cut of steak and even though the price has risin to 44 dollars the quality and the cooking leave a lot to be desired. The final nail in the coffin was our last visit, my wife ordered a vegetarian soup which was the special of the Day. After eating some of the soup my wife spat out some grisel and ran to the bathroom to vomit, the guy told us somebody forgot to change the menu. ( Fair enough, mistakes are made) But to not even offer a refund for the soup I thought was a disgrace. I won't be setting foot in the...

I don’t know if it was the staff on tonight, the fact it was later in the evening or what, but the service was atrocious, the prices are outrages $42 for fish and chips?!? There was ONE gluten free option listed on the menu which was steak. We ordered the potato salad for $22 and a child could have eaten it and still be hungry. Servers were honestly kind of rude and short and the atmosphere outside looks quite inviting but inside it looks like a plain old sports bar. The one positive i will give is that the food came out very quickly (within about 5-10 minutes) however, we were one of the last orders of the night. Food also did taste good but...

The Burrendah must be doing something right with the place fairly bustling on a warm Sunday arvo, but I had a rather disappointing experience today. Service was excellent but the food was disappointing. Ordered the following: Flat white - watery and so dilute it wasn’t good at all. Almond flat white with extra shot - tasted very bland and looked the part too :( Wood fired Pizza De Carne - the pizza arrived warm not piping hot. Base was moist and not well baked. Toppings were much to be desired. Quality of the pizza was really poor. I’m hoping they are having a bad day. Might return to try again at some point.

Burrendah Tavern – lunch with joan G-TA -FB A fabulous Sunday lunch had by all. I had never been here before (visiting from the UK) but we took out friends who have been here and their elderly mother. It was a great choice. Plenty of choice for everyone, easy space to sit outside and accommodate the mother’s stroller aide, nice cold beer and really friendly staff behind the bar. The seafood platter was plentiful and freshly cooked. I really liked the fact that they made a point of coming outside to see if everything was alright, especially with my friends mother – nice customer service.
