The Flying Fish — Restaurant in Western Australia

Ordered yesterday, I am a quallified chef and what i had for lunch yesterday was absolutely disgusting and totally unedible. The fish was soggy seaping in oil, batter just slid straight off however was overcooked and dry as a leather boot. The chips where also insanely greasey and crazy dark in colour most likely due to dirty oil. The 2 crabsticks and the tartare sauce was the highlight of the meal but still wasn't worth the money i paid. Or the consequences the next morning as I am still feeling quiet ill. i am severely disappointed. After speaking to the manager he refused me a refund, refused to recook my entire meal and only would offer me as little as a $20 instore credit. He then mentioned that my food was sitting out of safe temperature zones for over 20 minutes while my partner was going to pick it up even though she only arrived 5 mins after the asked time by the cooks. Apparently the manager is a fully qualified chef also however dosnt understand simple health and safety standards. He then told me I was lying about the condition of the food then hung the phone up on me. I then rung him back and after many verbal arguments still have not been able to come to any reasonable conclusion to this so I am simply just trying to spread my word to not deal with these people. Yes by the reviews they may look good but on the chance if they mess up you will never be able to get anything rectified and will most probably get fed the same verbal diarrhoea and vomit that I did.

"Wow, what a transformation! I've been a regular at this fish and chips spot for years, but the new owner has taken it to a whole new level!

Fresh and Crispy Fish: The cod was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender interior. The batter was light and flavorful.

Golden Chips: Crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside - exactly how chips should be!

Friendly Service: The new owner is warm and welcoming. You can tell they're passionate about serving great food.

Clean and Cozy Atmosphere: The place looks refreshed and inviting.

Reasonable Prices: Still affordable and great value for the quality.

Really wish I didn't have to do this to my local fish and chips shop. Last half a dozen orders over the past year have been really bad! Tried different fish/ snacks, style of chips and even tried different days and times. Happy to pay $$$ for good quality fish and chips, but wouldn't waste my time anymore. They used to be so good, unfortunately they have lost their touch. Happy to have a chat to explain more...

FYI, had some snapper the other night. It was surprisingly very nice! - Hopefully they have tweak a few things for the future!...
